MDMA = Shit
That's what I think of it in the long run...
I just don't think the few hours or so of euphoria is worth the feeling I get for a few days after dosing. The lack of seretonin makes me feel like I just had my heart broken. But the thing is, if my heart actually was broken by someone, I could go to friends and get support from them, get them to help me through it. But seretonin depletion isn't ACTUALLY a broken heart, so I would just feel like a dumb ass going to friends complaining about how shitty I feel from it. it may be nicer in smaller doses (ie less than 50mg), but if I get enough in me to get really messed up, then I don't think its worth it at all. I'd rather have REAL happiness. |

i don't like mdma very much.
i don't like drugs very much. i can definitely take or leave drugs...usually leave them. although i do like the way mdma can facilitate discussion...i think i'm done with it. 1.25 caps in my life is quite enough. -lauren |

but so am I . of course, the pain of having your hand ripped apart by the blender would probably overpower the painkillers that it would release in your brain, but they would still be released. oh and for the record, I am basing this opinion (that MDMA is shit) on my experiences with good, pure MDMA. And yeah, I know 5HTP helps. I have a big bottle of it at home, but despite that, the seretonin depletion in your brain still sucks ass in my opinion. |

5htp doesn't really help all that much. if you read the slide show on dancesafe (i think) it tells you why. :Peenutt: |

It sure seems to help me alot...
and alot of other people I know as well. And I just read through the whole dancesafe slideshow. Nothing in there said anything about 5HTP not being effective. Do you know what 5HTP is? it's what your brain generates seretonin out of. normally, your brain has to make 5HTP out of tryptophan, which it gets from certain foods. (I'm betting orange juice is one of them, since so many people think it helps alot as well). And once you have tryptophan in you, it has to convert to 5HTP first, (which takes quite awhile) before turning into seretonin. If you just take 5HTP directly, then you're pretty much eliminating a really time consuming step in seretonin production. |

5HTP just raises seretonin levels in your brain..
If you take it for long enough, You wil GET e-tarded, or feel like it.. This can happen with some anti-depressants too. And I think what Luke was saying was that he doesn't like to feel FAKE happiness. That does not seem to register with you people.. Hmm. E is just too plastic for me by now, It's been too long.. And I don't like jib/mdma/mda.. etc. Not good for you, It just makes you into a crazier person BY FAR. |

5-htp is a precursor to serotonin, just like the eggs i take out of my refridgerator are a precursor to the scrambled eggs i eventually make.
having more eggs in my fridge does not nessicarily mean im going to make more scrambled eggs. or something. r. |

true.... your brain doesn't generate seretonin all that fast...
but if there wasn't much 5HTP in your brain to begin with, then it would still take alot longer to regenerate all that seretonin indirectly out of food you ate, than it would be to generate it out of a bunch of 5HTP pills. It takes alot longer to make scrambled eggs if you have a few chickens in your yard to lay them, than it is to just go to the store and buy a carton of them. |

I do E about, 1-3 times a year, and I don't have a come down worth speaking about as long as I don't do a bunch. The most I've ever done was 2.5, I was messed, and the next day I was just tired. Nothing that lasted several days, that's for sure.
My solution, do less E, or don't do it at all =P |
