not really....the 5.0's are alot slower then people think they are.. i know because my mom owns one and when i drive it, my buddy's golf vr6 is quicker...it sounds fast tho.

besides all 5.0 are old sloppy pieces of shit now. my moms car is a 95 and half the interior pieces are rattling/broken, and the piece of shit is only worth 10k now when it was a $32k new.

a crx with a b16 should pull low 14's MAYBE high 13's with decent traction, with those mods id figure it would pull 13's easy with slicks. it would be dope if you could swap the LSD from a type r onto. then it would be an absolutely perfect auto-x car, better then a mustang atleast.

what type of cams, intake, exhaust and suspension components do you have?

i need a new car but you're car is the same year as mine and im only looking for cars that are new or a few years old.

that's a negative
your moms is fucking heavy. and the 95-98 are shit
i'm talking about fox bodies. they are like the muscle car of the mustangs
especially the lx hatch or notch (because they are considerable lighter than the gt's)

and yes..... most are shit. it's because every fucking indo-canadian in the world owns... or has owned one. and beat the shit outta them
that's why i spent weeks looking for the perfect one. ended up buying it offa some rich white dude who took it in the shop to get everything done.

and i could find well over 10 sites that says stock fox bodies run 14's

very few mods + fox body makes 13's

in the summer i'm gonna build up my motor and throw on a low profile roots type charger on her

mmmmmmmmmmmmmMMmmmmmMMMMMmmmmmmmm 11's :)

i'd also have to disagree with your "crx" theory.. which is a civic. have you ever been down to mission. cars like those are a dime a dozen... even new type r's done out pull 14's

it takes huge cash to make a ricer go fast. just no torque in them at all.

that blue one, i'd bet, would be in teh 15's man

13 is pretty quick... even 14 is nice

fuck bren your new car is CLEAN, damn its good to se someone who actually has taste modified a civic. i see it has a 5-lug conversion and type r wheels. im guessing those aren't the only modifications to it. what typpe of engine, hopefully a b18c5 or soemthing of the sort.. im sure thats a pretty quick car.

back in the day i was intrested in taking a Civic hatch from 92-95 and modifing it into a nice little track/road car. i wanted to grab a b20 block and slap a b16a2 head on it with some jun spec b cams. ive seen similar cars pull 240hp w/ 200tq on the dyno. slap on the type r transaxle, some tien type hr coilovers, some lightwieght wheels with the newer potenza S0-3 tires..fuck man that would be ripper...alas i decided i didn't have the time nor the money to dervote to such a project. instead ive decide that im gonna buy a 97-99 Golf GTI with the VR6 engine and just daily drive it. maybe put some mild boltons to it but probably nothing too expensive as i don't really have the money to waste on ricing out a car.

shane man stock type r's pull 14.7..i new of a guy with mild bolt-on's and some tunning who pulled 14 flat in his type r. and crx's with swaps can be quick just think a 160hp in a car that wieghts 2300 pounds is a power to wieght ratio similar too a fox body mustang. haha i know the SN94 mustnags are slow as fuck i was just trying to back myself up. anyways the problem is alot of the people who mod imports are fuckin tools who don't know what their doing and rather put ugly ass shit on their car and make it sound/look faster then it is, because apparently thats the cool thing to do for kids in the dumbshit young driver category.

besides comparing a crx with an engine swap to a mustang is like comparing apples to oranges. plus alot of the high hp hondas have serious traction issuses because there front wheel drive, and imo not really worthy of drag racing anyway, their more suited to autocrossing and lower hp road racing.

its a Si hatch Sean, not a CRX. the car weighs 2097 lbs at the scale on a quarter tank.

internals are as follows,
'00 SiR cams with AEM tru-time cam gears tuned at garage 5 to 0.8 degrees of lift i think.

suspension is as follows,
koni yellow sports (height and dampening easily adjustable)
suspension techniques speedtech springs
upper front and rear ties
i have the lower rear tie bar but its not installed yet.

i have a gsr tranny WITH limited slip already, so t racktion is not as bad as you would think - although yeah in the wet the wheels come loose even third.

mustangs are slow. granted - you can get a lot of muscle out of them, but a stockl 5.0L gets spanked by either of these cars.

sean, i do use this car for auocross, and it is amazing. the handling is unreal.

shane - we should cruise this summer when i get back with my new car (the white one)

peace kids

BUY MY CAR - or come look at it - youll be impressed

something just came to my attention

we came to the conclusion that a stock type r could run a high 14 and sean saw one moded running a low 14

how does this white civic with a close to stock type r engine run mid 13's

i'm a fan of domestics and imports. but its so stupid to say my modded civic can whoop a stock stang. you obviously spent more than the price of a fox body mustang on your civic....if a fox body spent the price of your civic(stock) say 3-4.5k then his stang would whoop everything honda has ever made stock. so that's totally retarded.

*note* i was saving up for for a 5g hatch to eventually do it in standard type R/jdm styles, but have u seen gas? insurance? damn i'm too poor
