I am thinking that with Bertuzzi gone, there will be less tension in the air...plus the media swarming the canucks about the bert would have died down as well...so hence, LET THE GAMES........BEGIN! =)

If that is what Kenji meant, then it was MY mis-interpretation, and for that confusion I appologize. Sometimes clarity is important when you are adding information to a discussion. :)

Therefore in conclusion, Kenji was right, and I was right but I misread his sentence, no harm done :) Let's move on :mexitoke: hahaha
haha yea whatever all fun and games. but yes lets move on and let the hockey begin!

^ pay less??

ya rite there will always be people nowadays that will for $100 a ticket, and like 2 or 3000 grande on season tickets.

Its actually hard for people who really like and know their hockey because of the popularity here

I was talking about the market of the price of a ticket in terms of profit made by the organization. Generally, if a team does well, and sells out most of their games, then the organization can treat fans to lowered costs of ticket prices. Because the more money they make, the better the players/cost they can afford. But I would not shovel out $100 out of my pocket to see a hockey game...

Um the canucks have been selling out their games for how long and how many now. Not to mention limited playoff success yet they still charge that much and people will pay.

They are making a ton of money but still I am not so confident that just cause of some playoff success this year will see ticket prices drop.

I could easily be wrong though with the playoff success if they get any they may lower tickets, but to say selling out more tickets means lowered ticket prices. I don't think thats true at least in van cause we been selling out home games every game

^I'm just speaking from what I heard from Global tv news a few days back...and that is what they were talking about Kenji. I just wanted to point out that if the canucks were in the playoffs (and for a long duration too), then the canuck's owners make more profit. So with that extra cashflow coming in, what can you do to increase vancouver canucks patronage and attract more people to the game and their out-of-gm place-merchandise?

Maybe if we have success in the playoff's but as of right now I'm sure Orca Bay has made a killing even without much playoff success. How many straight sellouts is it up to for GM Place.

but i suppose with the ticket prices costing more during the playoff's you could make alot of money if we were to say get to the conference finals or something which by the way we should have in 2002.

I don't know that we can pull off a Stanley Cup run with the team we got.

We'll just have to wait and see.

I don't like the idea of matt cooke being on the number one line...I would soon see him on the third line....jan bulis is a definite on the second, and as for kesler..well...? who knows :(

I think he deserves a shot. At least we'll have one person who's willing to use the body on the first line. He'll do what Todd was supposed to do last year; get the stars some space.

yeah i wouldnt mind seeing cooke on the first line for a while. when he was called upon before he stepped his game up.

besides, if he does screw up....plenty of other guys

i was looking at some prejected lines, and one of them had sedin/sedin/king

i thought king was done?

^ its most likely gonna be sedin, sedin and bulis. I am pretty certain king rejected the canucks offer and walked away.

p.s: seriously 2 million for a 3 line center.... kesler better step his game up. Your suppose to make the money after you get some points. These days the players that make the money end up sucking for the most part.

I would not be surprised to see if Alain would switch up Bulis or Kesler with Cooke at times if the cookie is not producing :mexitoke:
