So I started splitting my tongue.
Day 1: It's going to take some getting used to this fishing line tied through my tongue, but I'm not going to stick out the 6+ months. I'm going to wait until it's split enough so I'll have nice round tips, and then I'm going to scalpel the rest of it.
Can't wait =) |

through the existing hole from my tongue ring.. then I tie a knot so it's tight against the tip of my tongue and as I talk, eat, and move my tongue around it slowly cuts through and heals at the same time. Very slow process, but I want nice round tips, which just cutting it can't give you.
You can move both tips seperately.. which has obvious benefits ;) In a month or two it'll be split at the tip enough that I'll just be able to cut it with a scalpel and keep it seperated with gause for a few days until it heals. |

think about the way your tongue moves when you speak.. it tends to tense up, right? So when you speak with a split tongue, it just presses together and contracts and expands like normal.
It takes a bit of practice to be able to use them independantly right off the bat.. but as far as regular use goes, it doesn't change a thing. |
