1) They are promoting drug use, plain and simple. The police in Vancouver do not want to promote drug use at all. 2) Those "testing kits" that they use can show that there are other chemicals in drugs, but not what they are, or what dosage they are are. So the point they are trying to make is moot. Here is your pill, it is laced with something, but who knows what, and how much there is. Dancesafe may be encouraging safe drug use, and safe sex. But they are going about it the wrong way. I have a lot of respect for Scott and the work he does for the scene. He is singlehandedly the person who gets permission from the RCMP for events such as Apex and Summerbreak. He is an advocate for the scene and doesn't want to see parties stop. He wants to see them be safe. And his comment on the scene dying is correct, the rave scene is moving into the clubs as are the drugs. Why go to a rave which is all ages when you can go to a club and drink? |

1) I agree. I think that anyone complaining they should have testing kits and booths at raves should do the research and buy one themselves and prepare before you go. 2)I don't agree on that. http://www.eztest.com/web/index.php?...d=13&Itemid=28 That is the best kit out there. I bought it for my friends that still pop. I have used it in the past and it has done the trick. Safe enough results so I determine wether a pill contains all that bullshit like PMA (For those of you that need to buy these...when your at checkout type the coupon code "bluelight" for a 20% discount). Well I haven't been in the scene that long to make a proper judgement other than my opinion. But everyone I have met says it is dying. But you goto these things and people will always show. As long as they don't take away all the venues. It has changed so much since late 90's as many long time ravers have told me. It's more about the rave then the music now. The "magic" to these massive events is gone. Is what they say. |
