The gym

I love going to the gym, you feel sooooo good after but fuck I do not like being sore. I hadn't gone to the gym for like 4 months and just started going again. My back's sore, which I think's weird cause I only did leg's the other day. Whatever, in like 6 months Im going to be smokin!

just joined a gym, i'm taking it easy for the first few goes but yeah it feels great. i had a gym in my building a couple years ago, but since then my only exercise has been cycling. not so much in the rainy season.

That's what I did. Im buying a monthly pass, the other day was my first time. My friend and I are going like 3 time a week to start and going slow. I love it though it just makes you feel that much better about yourself, your actually taking the time to make yourself healthy.

the toughest part about it is sticking to your routine. you need at least a month to see some serious results.

keep it up!

lol, i need to get back to one.

I have struck gold at work, a gym in the other building that is open AM-PM EVERYDAY for only 15.90 a month and so far for the last 3 weeks I have made it 4 times a week. It has been great cause it really helps my back on good days and strengthen my knee b4 i have to go through surgery.

pop a few asprin after your workout. it helps to reduce the lactic acid produced by your muscles. Should help out a bit with the soreness afterwards

I love the gym.

i tried working out at the place i am stay at (they have a weight set in their basement) but it is not the same as going to a public gym. the atmosphere, the motivation of the people, the energy that just surges through the place, i feed off of it. it motivates me to work harder and push myself further than if i were to do it at home. you cannot get that kind of feeling anywhere else.

i love the gym.

I am a gym nut as well. 5 days a week unless i have other commitments.

your hamstrings work over 2 joints in your body, so if you have a weak lower back or core in general it may be effected by leg excercise. try doing core work before you train your legs, it has worked greatly for me, as i have a bad lower back myself.

have fun, its a healthy addiction!

A word of warning. Dont overdo it. I was going monday-friday , 2 hours a day for 6 weeks. I put on 10 lbs and reduced my bodyfat by 2%. Unfortunatly, combined with my job which involved a lot of typing at the time, i now have severe tendonitis in both arms. It sucks. I wish I could go back, but until i get some cortisone injections and take some time off, its not going to happen. :(

don't use machines then, they are a waste on your body

you can use freeweights and pretty much target every muscle , lot less stress on your joints and you'll develop all your stabalizer muscles hella better. sure maybe a girl doesn't want to build muscle mass or anything, just keep the weights reasonable.

yeah dude you want 3, maybe 4 days max workin out a week, 1-2 hour sessioins. if you are doin a lot of machine with that much regularity, your tendons will haaate you.

go to a drug store and pick up some MSM. it's really good for joints/tendons/etc. my dad took it when he had really bad tendonitis to the point of not being able to lift anything at all.. and it really helped him (and he didn't take anything else, due to the side effects)

i take it myself because i have genetically weak joints, and i put my forearms/wrists through hell with dance.. and it helps a lot. (way better than that glucosamine stuff)

i wish i had more time to go to the gym. school/working doesn't leave for a lot of free time though.. at least i'll always have my dancing.
