leaving on wednesday night.... getting nervous... decided i wont be taking the malaria pills with me...as everyone that has been there recently said i dont need them.....any last travellers tips? .. i havnt packed yet.. but i know i wont be taking alot (need more room for shopping!!)

sorry to take so long to write!! ive only been here for 4 days and it feels like ive been here for longer with all the stuff ive been doing!!i dont know if staying up all night on wednesday was sucha good idea..lol...i figured i could just sleep on the plane... ya right. squished in between 4 japanese people.. one of which was sick (bird flu!!!!!ahhhhh!)so uncomfortable.. then arriving in tokyo going out for dinner right away and then to a club oliver was playing at..(it was his bday too!) so ya i was basically up for 48+ hours since i got here my first night... lets just say i was a little incoeheriant and felt like i had done 10 e bombs!! (not a nice feeling)..i was so happy to sleep that night... so ya..I am staying with oliver and leslie in shibuya (an area of tokyo -very central) my 2nd day.. they took me out and about in shibuya..very crazy..but very cool...it kind of reminds me of amsterdam in the sence that its all maze like and very narrow with cool shops everywhere...i love it! we went to 'womb' a 4 floor night club that night and saw a wikked dj .. the scene here is dope everyone loves everything.. theyre really into some crazy stuff though..like interesting tech house.. and even psy-trance ( well the j-hippies at least.. yes they have really cool japanese hippys here..i want to bring one home with me.. they are too cool!!) but ya the main thing is that they love the music and get down to it...there is a lot of people here... and it can get tiring because its so many people all the time no matter what.. that doesnt even bother me though.. its the f'ing foriengers that piss me off... there were a lot at the club that night.. and well they sucked.. im sorry when u come to another country dont act like u own the place and u can just do whatever the hell u want... ur not at home and mabie u should learn to respect other cultures?? argh.. sorrry really fusterating to see people act like that.. and then they wonder why forieners get a bad reputation!!blah... anyways.. yesterday we did a little sight seeing in harajuku! .. hrmmm.. i think that was the first moment where i saw something that made do a double take... i will have to show pics of it...u really just have to see it... the most random though was the dancing elvises.. yes japanese men dressed up like elvis... and then bustin out his moves in the park for everyone to see.... random... we missed the massive temple that is in harajuku cause we walked around alot and it has been really cold the last week (apparently i brought bad weather with me!!..ooops) so i will be going back there.. (gotta do some shoppin anyways.haha) plus i think it will be time for the sakura (cherry blossoms).. in which apparently the people start partying in the parks all over tokyo and getting wasted! (the people here like to drink A LOT!! i fit right in..haha) today I took the shinkansen (bullet train) to kyoto.. sooo cool. super nice trains...really nice view.. (i scored the window seat ..mwhaha) by the time i found the tourist info center (randomly on the 9th floor of a department store in the train station!!) and took the bus (in which ur supposed to buy a pass for before u get on the bus!!) to get to my ryokan (traditional japanese style hotel)....THINGS CAN BE SO COMPLICATED HERE....it was allready 5pm so i just went for a stroll around town.. found this crazy shopping arcade.. kind of a indoor outdoor mall thingy.. soooo much stuff to look at .. checked out a couple stores... can u believe i havnt bought any clothes yet?? haha.. (i think i will wait to go back to tokyo... sooooo many cool stores!!) the food here is wikked!!! so many delicious things...dont worry i took pics cause i will have to explain some of them,... hehehe.. anyways ..just got back cause its freeeeeeezing cold outside.. its the wind that gets u, just like home!! Tommorow i will be up bright and early to go check out all the cool temples and shrines around town...then i will stay tommorow night and head to nara and possibly kobe the next day .. wanting to be back in tokyo on thursday night.. theres still so much more of tokyo i want to see!!! anyways... yadi yadi... thats my run down of japan so far... such a crazy mix of everything here...and i absolutly love it!!

again for those that didnt get my last email.....
So i spent a couple of days in kyoto ..by the time i figured out it was much bigger than i though and that i would need an extra day to check out what i wanted to see... but i enjoyed it... it was nice to escape tokyo to somewhere not as crazy... still crazy... but on a smaller scale... checked out some of the main temples and shrines.. there are waaaaay too many to try and see them all.. you would be running around like crazy trying to see everything....but i got the main idea of it. i did miss out on the bamboo forrest though :( walked around some of the other parts of kyoto and was coming up thru this area that i had no idea was the geisha area...there was this huge group of people standing outside of this hall i guess it was... not having any idea why or what they were waiting for i decided to wait to.... so .. after waiting for about 30 mins and random people coming out of the hall.. 20 geishas start coming out!! it was picture mayhem! got some wikked shots of the geishas! very cool... i love how no matter where i go to get food its always really really good!!! The food here is dope.. even if i dont know what i am ordering.. haha.. havnt done the crazy sushi thing yet waiting for this weekend to meet up again with oliver and leslie.. as they know the good spots to check out... its not as expensive here as everyone thinks... i am in nara right now. about 50 mins outside of kyoto by train and i am staying in a traditional japanese welcome house (with the tatami mats and all that jazz) and a wikked breakfast this morning it was only 4500 yen.. basically 45 bucks.. the man runing the place is sooooo nice... older japanese man ..who spoils us rotten... i feel very lucky i found this place!! i checked out the town today..temples..all basically in a huge park with deer running arund all over the place....now one may think that is very cute at first... BUT... dont be fooled. they have these little deer cookies u buy in the park and can feed to the deer.. once they know u have them.. or smell it.. its over!!! i had a deer try to eat my pants... chase after me.. and then EAT MY MAP!!!! i tryed ripping it away but it just kept eating it i couldnt get it back!!oh man.... the japanese people found this halarious.. i was just annoyed.. cause i didnt know where i was without my map!! haha.. wasnt hard to find out where i was going though... nara reminded me alot of victoria... super chill and really nice and quiet... again a nice break from tokyo.. even from kyoto! Going back to tokyo tonight... and will be up at 5am to go to the crazy fish market.. all i heard about before i left is that i MUST go to this fish market and being that it is in tokyo i have no doubt that it will be nothing short of crazyness!! 4 more days in tokyo then its off to the land of thai!!! ciao for now! from my last email.... ok... so mike.. you were right about the bus thing.... i think i wouldve prefered the train...the bus took way longer then it shouldve with all the stop overs and waiting to transfer...but we made it to ko phangan.... FINALLY...but when we got here and checked out the room we had reserved which looked nothing like what it did on the website by the way.. we had to find something else.... now were waiting to see if visa can reverse the charge because the lady said she wasnt going to give us our money back ebven though we paid for 5 days and werent going to stay there... SCAM!!! (she was an aussie lady .. reminded us of the crazy lady from the movie the beach!) anyways... we found a nicer place close by and just booked that place instead.... were not being picky.. but the other place was pretty bad.. and there are alot of breakins during full moon.. so we didnt feel comfortable about leaving our stuff there if we had to leave... not to mention the fact it was really dirty... blah. ANWAYS...yesterday we went on a little boat tour around the island for like 14 bucks each... which included our lunch and everything... it was called the "munchies tour" haha... our tour guide was kinda crazy.. he cut off a chunk of his finger while he was cutting up some ganja at the front of the boat.... wow... we check out a seafood place lastnight and had fresh whole snapper BBQ'd ..with sides and drink for only 20 bucks!! its so cheap here.. well its "expesive" on the islands compared to bangkok.. but really.. its still cheap... so today we went on a day trip to ko tao.. first they took us up north to mango bay...where i almost got run over by a long tail boat....(good thing i could hear mike yelling under the water at me to LOOK OUT!!) i just got bumped in the shoulder but it couldve been alot worse...apparently people get run over by those things alot... after we check out mango bay they had a really nice lunch buffet on board for us and then they took us to the turtle islands.. which was SOOOO nice... 2 smaller islands conmected by a long strech of white sand in the middle as the beach with sun umbrellas and chairs... where you could swim or snorkel on either side...we went for a snorkel to this one part they call the japanese gardens.... its all coral reefs that look like traditional japanese gardens... the coral was so beautiful and cool to look at.... i seriously wanted to go up to people and smakc them for standing on the coral... WHAT IS WRONG WITH PEOPLE!! theyre either very ignorant and dont know .. or they are assholes and dont care... im hoping theyre just ignorant... alot of people have bandaged up feet around here because of steping on coral... serves them right!! tongiht we are going to JUNGLE PARTY EXPERIENCE... haha... im pretty sure its all crazy psy trance.. so it should be interesting.. meeting up with lenny tonight mabie go try some buckets to get warmed up for full moon... haha... we will leave here the day after full moon and head to ko samui stay for 2 days check out the national marine park then head over the other coast to check out ko phi phi ..krai and ko lanta... then up to chaing mai for songkran!!(thai new years) .....if we can get a flight out of krabi..because everything is getting all booked out pretty fast for it... anyways...gonna go pass out.. snorkelling all day really makes you sleepy.. and i gotta recharge for tonights crazy jungle party experience.. haha.. miss u guys!!! V

sorry its been a while.. it think the last i wrote was when i was heading to the jungle party on ko phang... that seems like ages ago.. even though i think it was just a week and a bit....found lenny roaming the streets of ko phang... did the full moon party together... which was ..... interesting?... haha... there really are no words to describe it other than mabie just complete and utter chaos... but it was fun and deffinatly an experience...after full moon we headed to ko samui ...checked out an awesome national marine park and did a 500m hike of death to the top of this view point... basically scaling the side of the mountain with a rope to guide us.. haha..it was super cool though cause out of the tour boat full of people ... it was only me and mike and 2 other girls we met when we had arrived to ko samui ( we all split a "meter taxi" into town...which really isnt a meter taxi cause they pretend the meter is broken and then charge you double anyways..ugh. long story.....) that was basically the only highlight of samui.. its not a very nice island at all.. ko phanag was way nicer! ....
so we basically left on what was supposed to be a "3 hour boat+bus ride" to krabi town.. which turned into 5..hahaha... oh well... krabi was a nice change from all the jacked up prices of the islands we had come from.... we checked out some of the nice beaches in the krabi province...(mari... didnt do the speed boat but did the long tail to riley and ao nang) super nice beaches... a little too crowded though...LOTS of crazy tourists resorts and stuff.. ah well... we had to make an emergency exit from that area anyways... as lenny was doing some stunt action off a cliff with mike and dislocated his shoulder...yikes!!! its amazing to see that in a buddist country how when someone is in an emergency situation NOONE WANTS TO HELP YOU!!!! we spent 2 hours didledaddlying waiting for someone to help us..while poor lennys shoulder was popped out if place... it was absolutly rediculous..mike ran up and down from beach to beach lookng for a doctor or first aid or anyone to help us... FINALLY one of the resorts who before hand had refused to let mike to even step foot onto the property because it was all swanky and we werent guest decided to help us by getting us a speed boat from the beach back into krabi town to the hospital!! (of course after giving us a nice bill for it... thank god for travel insurance!) i wouldnt reccomend ever going to a thai hospital.. haha... it was actually more effiencet than some van hospitals... but i wouldnt say it was as sanitary... but alas..they drugged lenny up and popped his arm back into place...whew!!what an adventure...dont do that again lenny or i will kill you!!!! :P anyways... after that whole indident we decided we needed some relaxing time doing NOTHING... since weve been here its been go go go bus boat taxi.. ect ect.. very tiring.. so we are now on ko lanata... my favorite so far... and have been spending the past 3 days doing nothing...i love it!!! its way more quiet and relaxing than anywhere we have been so far... we did an amazing snorkleing tour today out to a marine park... spent all day snorkeling seeing amazing coral reefs and all kinds of crazy fish...every color of the rainbow!! (thankfully no sharks!!).... its so unreal...hopefully we have some good shots from our underwater camera!! we are going to spend one last day here tommorow then we are off back to krabi or the night and off to phuket for the day on thursday to do a crazy kayaking tour thru limestone caves and cliffs...(weve seen the actual tour we are going on pilotguides before!!!) im really looking forward to it...then we have one more day in krabi and were off to the north for the rest of our trip!!!! so .. i will try and be better about updating.. haha... it just gets a little tiring when were always moving around and trying to find internet is the last thing on my mind... but were doing good, having a blast and catching some rays for you guys...:P talk to you soon! luv veni.

we went to check out julies mike but it was full.. its songkran right now and its fucking insane... were staying at another guest house called libra... its allright.... we went to the wat on the top of the mountain today and then checked out the zoo which was pretty dope... they had a baby tiger and 2 baby lions in a pen like at a petting zoo and we got to pet them... mike was so excited... haha.. were doing a cooking class tommorow.. cant wait!! ... will email again soon.
