Richmond RCMP officer killed last night...
He got smoked by a Civic that ran a red light at 3 Rd and Williams last night around 1:45 am .
The fucking moron decided to run. I hope they beat his ass when they find him. I called my uncle who works for Surrey RCMP because he had 2 guys from his troop go to Richmond after training and the guy has been with the RCMP for 8 years , no kids or wife.

I don't want to be the guy that was behind the wheel.
Killing a cop isn't something the police take lightly, being a hit and run makes the situation even worse. Beat his ass?? I bet they shove a few nightsticks up there first.

I'd just drive into the Fraser river and hope no one ever finds it again. Or take off the VIN numbers and burn it. The only value that car has now is a one way ticket to jail.

I guess all the speed crackdowns/red light cameras haven't really made a impression on everyone. Like honestly, what are the chances of a cop cruiser getting nailed by someone ripping through a red light?
 I guess in this case it was bad luck for the good guy

man... poor guy i have to say... like for the two of em...
2003 civic.. driving around 3 am.. so he's around our age... and he makes on bad decision to try to run the red and in an instinct of about 1 second his life is finished... i kinda feel bad for him..... well in the other way but in the justice way... it was stupid and yeah.... he will get what he deserves.

by the amount of damage sustained by the cop car that stupid SiR must have been doing over 100 if not more.
what the fuck are you doing going over 100 while approaching a fucking intersection with a RED LIGHT?!! honestly that is one bonafied ricer move.. and to make things worse his idiot friends in another car picked him up from the wreck and took off! i hope they ALL get thrown in jail (which they all will). and for sure they WILL be someones bitch! :Peenutt:

both of the two involved are in custody and charges are pending, investigations are curerntly being conducted while intersection trffic cameras are being viewed.
if your azn and driving a rice car in richmond watch your speed during everyday driving, the richmond detachment will probably bust who ever that matches the description for 'speeding' 'deal with it now, ask questions later'

Like Ryan said, we live like two seconds from that intersection...I've lived here for over 15 years and nothing like that has EVER happened so close to home, it's really sad =( I just got home from the intersection where it happened...I went and left some flowers and read the little notes that some local school kids posted up on the light pole. It's so sad...I feel really bad for his family...he was an only child. I hope that some good does come of this, in that excessive speeders will realize that it's really NOT worth it. Be careful out there, kids! Remember this: that cop could have easily been you.

i think they're talking about further on the spot judge/jury license suspensions and those caught exceeding a certain speed above that posted automatically get 5 years suspension and $2,000 fines
in an effort to curb street racing 'deal with it now, ask questions later'
