I feel like the way that the system was developed it's really easy to take advantage of it, there are no limitations on what you can give away or take away. The whole negative five points collapsing a post is just an easy way for a group of people to gang up on someone who they don't like and quickly and easily wipe them off the face of the board. While I have no place to comment on your policing, this is the system you designated and if it is really easy to take advantage of it, perhaps it should be re-worked.

Nobody likes their work being critiqued. Look at the facts myles, you created a half assed system. This was easily pointed out by the group at how easily the system was taken advantage of. YOU DID A HALF ASSED JOB INSTITUTING IT. Maybe you should take a gander from falsified perch, and actually take a look at the issues with the new system as opposed to just passing it off when somebody points out that you really didn't do a good job. Boards such as digg have things in place so stuff like that can't happen, you should have probably taken the time to research the template they use before tossing out an ill designed template of something that already works.

as it has. there is noway of knowing how inappropriate/immature users will react when given the responsibility to help moderate the website. we have critiqued the system today and will possibly need to several more times before it balances out. this topic was created to acknowledge the changes more so then to blowup at the developers (like it has). fair enough. there will always be spitfire in the face of controversy.
