Should i put a cake in the fridge?

Well?
It's one of those pre-made-add-eggs kinda cakes. I just made it and want it for breakfast tomorrow, do I leave it out or fridge it?

if you don't cover it, it will dry out a lot faster.
(much worse in the fridge.)
but if it's in the fridge, sealed tight, the cooler temperature prevents the evaporation of the cake's moisture and any evaporation that takes place is kept in the same air as the cake.

either way, doesn't seem to matter.

let's talk about being frigid.

I covered it with tin foil and left it on the counter. After scarfing down a piece...shit i make a mean cake.

I think i went to the wrong parties cus there was never excessive making out going on. Or maybe i was just thaat frigid.

actually the cool teperature will cause the cake to dry out quicker than if left stored at room temperature. the amount of water that can be absorbed by the starch in the cake declines as the temperature falls towards zero.

the only time cake should be stored in the fridge is if it is covered with whipping cream.

keep your bread out of the fridge too!
