Probably. The problem then, like Aldous Huxley pointed out, is that in the effort of tuning out all the things you don't care for, you tune out far more than you'll ever know, and you'll continue that way until all you can hear is what you already think you know. I prefer to be aware of what's happening on the planet myself, not tuning it all out just because I'm too lazy to download firefox, cut some ads out of magazines, and turn off the TV once in a while.

No, you didn't. You tried to make me out to be a hypocrite, but you failed. Just because I write for magazines and post on websites doesn't mean I support advertising. I hate advertising. I deface and destroy any advertising I come across when it's convenient to me (meaning I don't go out of my way to do it), and I encourage everyone to do the same. By your logic, I'm not allowed to be against ads because I ride the bus and the bus has ads, but, in this reality thing we're dealing with, I just ride the bus and, in my spare time, I despise ads. Hence, you are wrong and saying so proves you are dumb as a brick.

What's more, you are a nothing human who contributes f*ck all to anything or anyone but yourself. Christ, I never said I was anti-ad. I personally think that the most brilliant people in printed media are in advertising, or were in advertising.

The issue I was objecting to was that a magazine that people pay money for had the audacity to put out an issue that was 86% advertising, but then charge for it. I get popular culture, I don't have an issue with it. I'm not on some moral crusade, I just think its insane that anybody could be so blatantly money grubbing.

It's not that everyone else is a blind sheep, just people who tend to troll forums are total assholes. Though, now that you mention it, I do a lot of writing on the bus. What do you do? Read? It's wasted time. I mostly write music reviews, so all I need is an iPod and a pocketbook. I don't live at my mom's house in Chase and she doesn't have a basement, but I do a lot of writing in bed at your mom's house after we're done fucking that goat. She loves that goat chode. I'm with you about ION. If I didn't write for them, I probably wouldn't read it. I'm not much into fashion. The Nerve is fine, though. Mostly music ads, which don't bother me in the slightest. That's how you find out about tours and albums. That's actually useful. I also don't deface charity ads. Those are useful. Coke, on the other hand, doesn't need to advertise. Now, I know RAWB is going to turn that around on me, so I'll do it for you.

I totally agree with you. And although I love music, I tend to be more interested in the latest games so I pay attention to the ads because that's how you find out about release dates and such. That's actually useful.

Oh and I dig sneakers to, so I like to see what diffrent companies are releasing so I read those if I see them.

Nope, if my ass wasn't on the bus or at the movies, there'd be less buses/theatres and by proxy less ads. You alone are supporting ads by riding the bus and going to the movies.
I'm pretty sure ION, The Nerve, and FNK would run just fine if I wasn't there (they did for years before I showed up, you know), so nothing would change. You have no argument there.

This would have been a better argument tactic for you: I mostly write music reviews. Technically, I WRITE ADS FOR ALBUMS. I'm somehow not shocked you didn't think about that one. You could have made a much better case than that weak ass I write, therefore I support ads direct correlation bullsh!t. However, I'm not interested in merely advertising a product for money. Music is art, and that's why I'm there. You could also make the case that video games are a form of art too (given there are some amazingly talented computer graphic people involved in that). However, when Virgin covers up concert flyers with some 10 cents a minutes wank, I take that as an offence. But, hey, that's just me.
