"miss Myra" and "mojo" ( if those are your real names) 25 is the new 15.
Kind of think this whole thread is crap, because age is a mentaility and we all mature and develop at different times. It is the people who set the most restrictions in their lives, and stress to meet certain timelines that end up with the most wrinkles and shorter life spans. For example, if i compared myself to my friends from High school i would already have my degree and be working some office job, but my life is different and so i will die in school, working at my own pace to fufill my goals - doesn't mean i suffer from age failure. My only age goal, honestly, is to have kids before i am 35, because freezing your eggs is a rather pricey adventure and despite the nose resemblence, i am no celine dion. |

stlye and age don't necessarily have to be paired. i've been working in corporate offices for years now and i dress really casually for work, but when i was 22 i wore a shirt and tie for work almost everyday. it's not about your age, it's about your environment and what you feel comfortable with. granted, sometimes dressing professionally will help get you ahead but it depends on your job.

I always cut my hair and regret it......
My boyfriend cut off his hair and he weeped....not literally...but....yeah it was down past his nipples...and beautiful. oh metal. ...Sometimes i really just wanna walk out the door and feel like if i met an Ewok and he was like "hey, come chill in my treetop village"....i would be just.......so ready and be feeling very woodland. Id like to think my style throws out a little of me in the world....and i like that thought...and really respect those who are down with just....the self. There is no age.. ...........heck be who you be. and if it be FUBAR......rock the hell out of that shit. |

i think that the struggle to find the perfect relationship between style and comfort is something that is constant, not saying that like it's a bad thing.
i also agree that when you start to work in a more corporate environment, you will start making the majority of your big purchases with 'hmm, can i wear this to work?' in mind- and it can be hard to encorporate your own personal style while adhering to a business dress code. I'd say for now don't worry about it and just keep being who you are and doing your thing,a lot of women just lose style altogether as they age-which is why stores like cotton ginny exist. |

I figure, if you see that the majority of highschool girls wearing it..you probably shouldn't be.
I really think that your clothing changes as you grow. It's usually an item here or there and all of a sudden your style is completely different then two years ago. |

i change my taste everyday. i dont think you have to be a certain age to change unless your super old and your rocking mini skirts etc. i guess it all depends on your mood and your life style and the friends you hang out with, also the fact that fashion also changes every day.

ugh, no it doesn't make sense! The trying to look younger thing doesn't take effect until much later then 22. So really trying to be a bit more of a sophisticated 20something is founded. An aging 40yrolds face cream has nothing to do with this situation.

what my friends wear doesnt have any imput on the clothes i have in my closet. i do my best to buy all of my clothes out of town...that way it is different from what everyone has here. styles are styles. but i think vancouver doesn't have enough variety. this is why everyone dresses 'the same'. as long as you are dressing appropriate for your body and occupation..then its game on as far as im concerned. |
