teaching english in south america?

no, southamerica is on lockdown less you have a tesol or something. and i would suggest you visit southamerica first before you go down there full of steam to teach.

the real big money is in private tutoring in asia anyway. anyone thats logged time in southeast aisia can attest to that.

I have a friend in the south of Brasil right now teaching, with no experience, and really no interest....but they pay him to do it and don't seem to mind. I'm sure you could find work if you looked hard enough Courtney.

yeah brasil would be the best country to do that in. brasil is unlike anyother southamerican country in terms of infrastructure and wealth....and the whole portuguese thing.

I know UBC had like a career fair a couple weeks back. They had a bunch of different companies including JET and other "teaching english abroad" type companies there.

You can always search up whether your school is hosting a career fair or if you can attend one at another isntitution. I'm sure they also hold fairs outside of academic institutions.
