Props to Bri for her passion and hard work to up her DJ-game over the years. SS was a BIG reason for the tours/bookings overseas... but that's what it's about -- networking, promotion, marketing, etc.

why are Bri and Kay solo now?

Alla, I am no longer working with DJ SS, therefore no more LTC.
I owe SS allot for all of his promotion help, but unfortunately due to some disagreements i decided to leave Formation in June and move on. Kay signed a contract, so she is still legaly bound to Formation.

To straighten a few things out, I was never on the Vegoose lineup, i played at a party in Vegas the night before Vegoose. the party was called Devil's Night, www.awolproductions.com.

Kay and I will continue to work together, but no longer as LTC, to be honest i never really was passionate about the name in the first place.

I do believe in fact that looks have a hand in it, but i do not believe that i put myself out there to be viewed a certain way. I respect myself ALOT and i have never felt that i need to put my tits or ass out there to get any recognition. I believe in setting a good example for any other artists, that you dont actually need to be a sex symbol to get to where you want. and believe me you dont.

A friend of mine told me last weekend that she recently played in T.O and _______ and _________ (who are influential ppl in the scene) had to ring my friend in Van to complain about how they felt so ripped off by her absolute inability to mix, stating that the headliner was giving her DJ lessons in the middle of the set.

They were really angry.

Or there was trouble with the equipment, and the headliner had to step in to advise her on what was wrong with it. Meanwhile T.O. scenesters (a characterizaiton that hardly implies technical wizardry, if you ask me) assume she is just wrecking and start PHONIN THEIR FRIENDS ABOUT IT ZOMG BBQ!!!

dj's have there good nights and there bad nights. whether if they are on tour and are sleep deprieved... or there ears are still ringing from the other night or have still not adjusted from the flight's going city to city.
What about the equipment... maybe a channel was out on the mixer... a faulty needle... or nothing to absorb the sound so the decks kept spinning regardless.... What about the way the monitors were functioning???

All I know is that the Person who rang on the behalf of (insert major dj/producer's name and friends) was not impressed.

Being it was ________, I would suspect that they would know if it was a technical issue and from what I was told by my friend in Van who received the phone call, I don't think it was.

But .... whatever ...

it doesn't take much to make torontonian junglists angry, i'll bet. :P

i'll bet they'd be less forgiving if a TO DJ did happened to play a bad set. did you happen to see this first hand or did you come to bump the thread and disrespect one of the most solid and respected people in the tiny vancouver dnb scene because of gossip?

promoters are not going to waste money to fly someone out to play a party if they don't know how to DJ. Bri has been to Europe and lotsa other places and has worked very hard to get there. I've seen her play several times and I've never seen her do what you've described above. This of course, is first hand knowledge, and not me just thinking I'm the shit because I know promoters and know all the gossip in the scene. I don't care to. I respect Bri and think your intrusion into a place full of people who feel the same way to be very lame.
