What do you forget to pack?

When going away, be it for the weekend or the year? I'm hoping to get some reminders and suggestions.

For me it is usually my toothbrush for short trips, and last time I went abroad I forgot to buy medical insurance.

Ive learned that sometimes its almost easier to just buy a lot of stuff once you get there rather than pre-pack. Sometimes those items make the best souvenirs. Im pretty good at not forgetting the important things, but than I make a list weeks in advance.

Things you cant buy once you leave: passport, tickets, insurance, visa (what does the country require?), credit card, bank card, back up id, contact numbers/emergency list, medication, and expensive things like a camera, important cloths, mp3 player etc.

I usually never forget anything. But if I do..it's always a water proof jacket!!

I am the queen of over packing. Always WAY to much clothes.

I always make a list and I have seperate categories (clothes,shoes,makeup..etc) and I check everything off!!

I usually forget to pack any intelligence, good judgement or standards

but a good tip for light packing, just pack enough money for booze and then you magically only need like 2 changes of clothes. speaking of which im hamm'd at 2pm on amonday , time to hitup the strippers
