Vancouver Canucks defenceman Luc Bourdon is dead.
Bourdon, 21, was killed in a motorcycle accident near Shippagan, N.B., Montreal's CKAC Radio reported.
The accident occurred around 12:30 p.m. local time (8:30 a.m. PDT).

The Canucks have not yet issued a statement.

My bro was working with a guy that almost killed himself today using a forklift, he told me it was a wtf situation and he had no idea what to do. Apparently his mom begged him not to buy a motorcycle. He had it for 3 weeks and drove head on into a semi. I always thought moms were just being weird about bikes, but maybe they have something there. Perhaps youth and insane power don't mix.

I was so completely shocked when I heard the news. I felt horrible as a person because I never think of hockey players in this way. the draft, the club, and the playoffs mean nothing right now.

Dude what a shitty thing to say.. he was known across the league as one of the best up and coming D's. He was only 21 and quickly becoming one of Canucks best D's.

RIP Luc. I was pretty shocked when I was watching TSN!
