John Paul who? Just the man who could play upwards of 16 different instruments fluently and was really the driving force behind Zeppelin's avant-garde approach to writing traditional forms of music in an entirely unconventional way. Page and Plant may have taken the spotlight but John Paul Jones was to Zeppelin what George Harrison was to the Beatles.

Jimmy Page was a great guitarist, but John Paul Jones was definitely the true genius behind one of the greatest metal bands to ever grace our ears.

wow.

im not going near this. have you been drinking? lol!:P

ok wtf.

zepplin was pages baby right from the start. the enitre thing was basically him and his vision.

now, next up would be plant then bhonam.

jones, while extremely talented, had little big impact on the band aside from his 'swing' tempo wich drew on his heavy jazz background.

page/plant didnt even bother to ask him to join for the no quarter tour of 1994 wich remains my 4th fav. album/tour of all time.

jones was bitterly dissapointed by this because he, and the rest of the rock music fan/writer/critic lexion knew why...

he just didnt matter THAT much.
