zepplin was pages baby right from the start. the enitre thing was basically him and his vision.
now, next up would be plant then bhonam.
jones, while extremely talented, had little big impact on the band aside from his 'swing' tempo wich drew on his heavy jazz background.
page/plant didnt even bother to ask him to join for the no quarter tour of 1994 wich remains my 4th fav. album/tour of all time.
jones was bitterly dissapointed by this because he, and the rest of the rock music fan/writer/critic lexion knew why...
he just didnt matter THAT much.
