agreed that Gregor has done some backpedaling on the transit ticket issue but honestly I think this speaks to one of the reasons I like him so much. he's not a career politician and from a handlers perspective is a major pain in the ass. unlike traditional politicians that stick to their message box and play it safe he's willing to consider new ideas and talk about them with people. also he's not ideologically driven and has shown the ability to admit a mistake and change course when it's smart to do so.

actually he got confused about the whole zone thing because he never uses transit and rides his bike every where. really when you think of it the zone thing is really backwards, don't we want to encourage people to make long trips by transit?

So now this Peter Ladner (didn't know he was the city planner) has approved $100 million bailout for the contractors of millennium water. But the whole thing was kept hush-hush and now he's triyind to defend the bailout. He flipped when they put a camera to his face. Composure buddy, composure. Love how the city is scrambling now to get things back on track for the olympics.

I agree, I like what Gregor will stand for. He's got my vote.

-lower your bitch and rice it out.
-raise that bitch up and go for a mad cholo bouncing suspension and daytons
-turn it into a jeepney filipino style, i think it will ad a certain level of sophistication to the city.

its probably not a serious problem, its just that the lenders are looking for extra security given the current global credit problem and obviously these types of negotiations cannot be open to the public for a multiple of reasons. however its a big issue and i dont see it being discussed here, i kind of want to argue with people about it.
