Yoga is the basis for many eastern religions, so that in itself is a religion with spiritual practices which encourage and teach the opening of your chakras (spirit) to heighten the experience. The issue I have with opening your spirit is that it leaves you vulnerable to whatever entity would like to come from thier realm into yours. This is very dangerous.

Tarot,runes,palmistry,astrology,numerolo gy(all very popular practices with early pagans) so on and so forth are all used within the occult and only within the occult and for good reason. Whatever answers you seek from the spiritual world can be answered, so long as you are willing to pay for that information.

Nothings free, be it in the living world or the spiritual. The living world evolves and deception creeps into the hearts and minds of people, however the spiritual world stays the same.

Prayer is not meditation, prayer is a conversation between yourself and God.
