Does anyone know how long it actually takes for the two deposits they make for confirmation to go through?

it takes 6-8 business days to move money from my bank account into my PayPal account.

It should show up in 3-5 business days Chad.

I did mine just last month and that is how long it took. :)

P.S Paypal has saved me from 2 scams so far and I wouldnt recommend any other form of online payment IMO

Sadly tho, no online business by Big Business accepts PayPal.

And the fees on those Mastercard and Visa cash cards for online payments are ridiculously expensive!

i concur, my confirmation deposits of $0.02 took a few days

but the only time someone scammed me on ebay, paypal said since the purchase was only $40, it was too small to refund or do anything about. I prefer to use my CC now, you can charge back anything!

That's odd because I once was using a 3rd party forum to auction off things. One guy disputed because it was taking too long for the package to get there and PayPal said since i did not have a tracking number (I had a picture of the receipt but got cheap shipping without tracking) I would have to return the guys 40 dollars.

Since my account had been suspended I couldn't use my cc to refund and for some reason paypal would not allow me to add funds from my CHQ account, so basically my account became inoperable because of 40 bucks.

So what's the deal with Paypal? Why do some people seem to think it's an awful service?

Basically, I'm just using it to pay like $1.50/month for a Ventrilo server since I don't have, nor want, a credit card. Is it going to be more pain than it's worth?

Some people only accept paypal. For instance some sites and most people on Discogs seem to strictly use it. I have never had an issue, but I am always buying and not selling shit. I use it through my credit card.
