Good ribs in Vancouver?
My sig other wants some good ribs tonight. I'm looking for somewhere downtown close to GM Place - that's right! We are going to the game tonight!!! So I need somewhere that we can eat and be out of in time to be at GM Place by 7. Any suggestions? He has no idea I'm taking him to the game, so if you know him PLEASE don't tell him! Thanks!

Go to Dix on Beatty then. Ribs are pretty tasty and the location is right there.

I can only tell you the last time I was there which was in February with Shortkut. The rib I had were damn tasty as were the sides. Oh and like Avana said, the corn bread was damn good as well!

Dix is okay but Memphis Blues is like 1000x better, get takeout & eat on a bench outside the stadium... it's worth it.

Yeah, I was gonna mention Memphis but they don't have a downtown location. Though I do agree with Wood's take-out assertion.

ive been craving memphis blues for months now. wtf is taking me so long.

mikey.....heard the service at market is terrible. hopefully the food can make up for that.

I know you're asking for Ribs but if you end up at Memphis make sure you try the brisket. I don't think dead animal gets much tastier than that.

I totally agree Memphis is WAY better. I only recommended Dix because of its location and like I said, the last time I was there the food wasn't bad.

Hungry+Far: Memphis Blues take out, but this requires a car
TBH though if you just want good BBQ get the pulled pork sandwich, much more portable and theoretically less messy

Easy+Near: Ribs at earls are above average

Tasty+Near: Chill Winston short ribs, should get an appy too though

Whoknows+Near: One Restaurant I heard someone say good things about

Poor+Fuckribs: Free pregame hotdogs, just eat 5

i like the cactus club ribs the best
im not really an expert but i have yet to find a better set
good luck getting a table anywhere near GM place on a friday though
