Hrmmm how much you think an JDSM Type R engine will run me ? by the way, anyone with a civic.. EZ AUTO in surrey has a spoon engine for only 4g's they retail around 8g's

why a jdm one..its essentialy the same as a north american one..altho japanese engines maybe readily available.

id say the engine would be atleast 6k

probably "hot" or beaten to death

a REAL spoon type r engine (civic or integra) would come in around at least $15 g'z (from a respectible tunning shop like A&J Racing)

A stock JDM ITR engine is probably the most sought after engine for swapping and it will be pricey..

my dad owns a mechanic shop so he will do it for free... by the way he is a licenced vehicle inspector in case you guys ever get vi'd

If you're looking for a JDM Type-R engine, you have to think about which year of the B18C engine you're looking for. Also, you need to consider where and how reliable the shop is when it comes to importing JDM engines over to Canada.

JDM Type-R engines go anywhere from $5000 - $8000 easily depending on where you get them and from who. Milage is also a big factor when it comes to engines as well as shipping (because you don't want your engine to be shipped in a cardboard box in a vessel full of Chinese refugees.)

An engine swap should be simple if you're going to dump it into an Integra, it shouldn't be much of a problem and should be a simple bolt-on with a few minor modifiations (air intake and wiring I'm assuming.)

Spoon engine for $4000? Surrey? Why am I not surprised?

i have a USDM type R swap

j-spec ones will run you 10g

mine was billed at 7400

VERY impressive

i mean the car is done to the tits and no traction he is running 13's but when he gets the slicks on it and learns to launch it with slicks it will be in the 12's for sure. i can respect a honda like that.

not to say if you take a notchback and do comparable work to the stang it won't run low 12's maybe even high 11's on slicks.

but it takes a lot to get those things to go fast.

yea I see that car in mission all the time, I was just curious as to who pays for everything on that car, I mean isnt the owner 16 or something? and clearly that car has it share of mods on it...

he's about 18-19 now
has HELLA mods.. and it is an 01 i believe
his rents have money and he has an income and he is sponsored
