i remeber hearing 2unlimited at my first party and people loved it. And yeah i could never forget house of unity parties in cowtown.

-when the vacant lot near lucy mae brown used to be the red lounge
-when rupert started the very first drum and bass night in vancouver at the red lounge
-when the red lounge used to be the shaggy horse
-when 23 west used to be the cruel elephant
-when the starfish room used to be club soda
-when automotive billiards was the spot to hang before going out downtown
-yaletown loft parties, when the loft's were still grungy warehouses, not pricey condos
-989 (?) homer st, the big place on the second floor with the car elevator up the back off the alley
-getting in to luvafair for the first time with fake id......in '89
-when people actually broke in to warehouses to throw parties
-when punks and headbangers hated each other so much they'd pretty much fight on sight.....now we have "a perfect circle"....thanks to nirvana.

i remember getting my licence in 1993
i remember loosing my licence 5 months later
i remember "well sorta" E-theater parties
i remember seeing c&c music factory live in like 1991
i even remember listening to nwa in 86 hiding in the attic cuz of all the swear werds

I remember when all the different types of music at a rave was just called techno.

I remember when the only raves out there were small underground affairs.

I remember being able to go to any party and get a hug from almost anyone there by the end of the night.

I remember parties that were under $20 to get in.

I remember when E was just called X.

One of the Fresco guys came up to me in the Boom Room at Area when I was there to see Bret spin...He asked me if I was a DJ (because someone told him I was) and if I would be interested in being in the Freshco collective because they "needed female DJ's."
