The Shannara series is one of my old favorites.. Terry Brooks is very good at keeping me captivated...

I am a voracious reader, and a huge fantasy buff...

I have not actually read anything of the Sword of Truth since Faith of the Fallen (Which was great, and made up for the horrid piece of crap that the previous book was)

Unfortunatly, someone borrowed the series off me, and never returned it.... Have not managed to get around to picking it up again.

I think I am going to add that to my list of things to get asap. I would really love to read it all again, and pick up the new ones.

W00t! On Book 9 of the Wheel of Time - Winters Heart.

One of my faves in the series. Can't wait for book 10, cause I have never read it....

Hopefully it will tie up some things I have been wondering about....

Hell, I am starting to wonder if the series is ever going to end.

I have heard that from a couple people.... apparently it does not end on a cliff-hanger like a lot of them do...

And I don't think Al'Thor is going to die... The prophecies demand his blood to win the final battle... but no where does it actually say he is going to die... that is just how everyone interpret's it.

All the book characters think he is a dead man, and pretty much everyone I have talked to thinks he is gonna die as well.. cept me...

Granted, I also have the feeling that Moraine is coming back at some point as well... again, just a hunch....

Exactly....
Granted, he wants pretty much everyone who can channel dead... But Taim has ordered Rand's death, and added 3 of Rands firm Asha'man supporters to the list of traitors after the attack on the Sun Palace...

SO many things are going on in this series... and so many things they have hinted at in previous books that I am waiting to see how they play out...

I really hope he finished writing this thing before he dies... I would hate to not finish it now...

Oh yeah.... the end of book 6 was the best... Dumanie Wells was one of the better battles in the series..

I did like the end of book 9 as well.... When he actually managed to cleanse Saidin.

that was awesome too. every person that uses the one power just stops what they're doing, and looks in the direction that rand is in. then they start coming!!! i think i'm going to reread that part tomorrow.
