For those who went to highschool in SD43
I got this email today found it amusing.
7 COUNTRIES 7 SCHOOLS Just as there are seven countries in the United Nations (Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, United Kingdom, and USA), there are seven schools in our great school district (Centennial, Dr. Charles Best, Gleneagle, Pinetree, Port Moody, Riverside, and Terry Fox). Having researched each of these schools, I have discovered that each school bares a close resemblance to each of the seven countries. Centennial: Large in size and population. They are dominant at virtually any athletic activity, thus convincing them that they are 'the shit'. They lack talent in drama and music, but still enjoy flaunting their efforts. Centennial is, by far, the cockiest school in the Tri-Cities; and definitely the Americans of the district. Dr. Charles Best: Large in size, small in population. Terrible at most sports. They are known for respectable music and drama departments, but are mostly overshadowed by their dominant neighbours to the south. A fairly new school that's taking a lot of shit, and won't stand up for itself. They are also the only bilingual school in the district teaching a french immersion program. Best is the Canada of the district. Gleneagle: Good at sports, not really known for their music, and God knows that they're TRYING in drama. Never seem to dominate, but are always a threat. For the most part, other schools would be happier if they were blown off the face of the Earth. Glen has the highest population of sluts in the district, therefore labelling them "France". Pinetree: Located in the 'crème de la crème' Westwood Plateau, the average Pinetree student is a spoiled little shit. They are good at most things because their parents have money. That, combined with their high Asian population, make them the Japan of SD43. Port Moody: Port Moody athletes are only good at tennis, badminton, and rugby. They've produced some good musicians, and some decent actors, but they're not known for their athletes. They consider themselves high class because of the IB program which does well to make up for the ugliest students in the district. Next to the inlet, overrated intelligence, crappy cafeteria food = Britain. Riverside: Decent at sports, good at drama, respectable music, and probably the best cafeteria in the district. Nothing terrible about Riverside, except for it's location (right in the crapper of Poco). Many Riverside kids are from the ghetto, and therefore, a lot of gangfights result. Due to the number of Riverside kids that grow up to be criminals, Riverside is the Italy of the district. Terry Fox: Next to Centennial, Fox is probably the most athletic school in the district. Back in the day, Terry Fox was the best, but they've since been brought down by schools such as Cent, Moody, and Glen. Despite no longer being the top school, everyone hates them anyway. Heil Fox-Germany. Last edited by Mc*Phee; Mar 04, 04 at 11:53 AM. |

lol
i went to riverside i agree with a lot of the statements i would add that riverside also has a big clump of 'upper milddle class kids' too, cuz it's got all the kids living in the newer developements on the south side of poco (aka suburban hell) and i think that's why there are the gang fights the inner city "ghetto" kids just fight each other... |

^^ Yeah, when I went there, PMSS basketball (girls) kicked some ass.
And we sucked at rugby. And as far as I knew, there were no badminton or tennis teams. I agree with the IB (I'm better) part though. I was one of those students...(minus the ugly). *Jen* |
