i dropped by bluenotes yesterday and wow.. the prices there sure bumped up a lot, compared to what they were before. i like their capris/skirts/guys cargos.. but not a big fan of the shirts. trying wayyy too hard. they have a lot of the logo shirts that say ac/dc, metallica and band names/brand names and those cost a lot.. why do ppl even buy logo shirts? not my cup of tea. anyways, saw a pair of black capris that i like a lot and also pair of cargos taht i tried on that looked freakin awesome, might go back and purchase the 2 items.

THEY ARE FUCKING SELLING RAMONES SHIRTS
Half the people that buy them probably don't even know who the fuck the Ramones are. It's like when Le Chateau sold alot of shit with saftey pins, buttons, and the british flag on it because all of a sudden being a punk was cool. Although I highly doubt most of the people buying the shit ever listened to or had respect for REAL punk. LAME i say. |

funny story about bluenotes
i was talking to the guy in there and he said "so many kids come in here and say "thats a rad saying on that shirt, man!" and then i inform them... that it's a band name, not a saying". i lol'd for sure. i like bluenotes jeans, and their guys stuff cause i dress like a man. its cheap and alright. i dont buy so many shirts from there cause i'm more down with skate shirts instead of ones saying "sublime". if i wanted a sublime shirt i'd order one off a website for them, not buy one from bluenotes where one; it isn't authentic and two; probably every hoochy in vancouver has one even though they know maybe ONE sublime song. wooha! |

^ alot of them don't, and Claires post proves it.
Considering the market Bluenotes is aimed at, what I said isn't as ridiculous as you seem to think it sounds. btw, i DO know something about "real" punk, and your post ALSO reaks with condescension. |

i worked there on and of for two years so i have a lot of their shit. It is getting better but they are trying too hard and the stuff is still crappy. Poor quality and no longer Canadien owned. The company has no respect for their hard working employees and secretly i wouldnt mind seeing it go under, hhaha no thats not nice of me, but they dont have full time associates because they dont want to give out benifits etc. now that isnt cool.
The clothes, shirts esp are fitting for teens, the jeans can be okay, but its not my favorite place to shop. I like what i like. its pretty lame that pharsyde is going to be no longer though, i know its expensive but the stuff in there is always rad. booo bluenotes..shop elsewhere the buttons fall off the pants |

^ ive never lost buttons off my bluenotes jeans, weird
maybe the guys stuff is made better :) who knows and they dont have fulltime? that's rough.. i want to work there part time, just because i can at least dress how i want and they want the whole "hardcore" image, soemtimes when i walk in there the people ar elike "YOU'RE SO COOL!" wtf.. im not, thats so weird |

And I'm not fighting, merely stating that what I said had substantial reasoning behind it. Whether it sounded condescending or not, it's true! |
