General Questions about "raving"

when you go to a rave... (lets say...for the first time)

what do you wear? what do you not wear? what do you bring? what do you not bring? is it okay to bring your friends? is it okay to go alone? do you bring extra money? do you bring your own drinks( water/pop)? do you have to be a certain age? do you have to dance? do you have to bring your ID? is it safe?

what the fuck is this rave thing people have been talking to me about?

wear clothes.
dont wear weapons or alcohol.
dont bring weapons or alcohol. bring hot friends.
dont bring guys.
bring your friends, as long as they are not guys.
go alone only if you know people at the party and your safe to/from the party.
dont bring your own drinks, they are not alowed in unless you know the promoters.
you dont have to be a certain age, but 16+ is preferred.
you dont have to dance, but it's always a good idea - and shows RESPECT to the dj.
you dont have to bring ID. It depends on the party.
safer then clubs.

For a true rave, the answer to most of these is just do whatever you want, really. There are no limitation or inhibitions. The night is yours to take.

However, for most of the events I've seen around here, I suggest going as conservative as you can, otherwise you might draw suspiscion or odd looks from the many social cliques that have invaded Raverland.

- U CAN CAN BRING UP TO 2 FRIENDS, ANYMORE AND YOU NEED TO CALL THE PROMOTER TO CONFIRM

- A LIGHTER, PREFERABLY SOMETHING THAT GLOWS IN THE DARK SO ANYONE LOOKING FOR YOU CAN FIND YOU

- A PACK OF SMOKES, SO YOU CAN BRIBE PEOPLE INTO GIVING YOU THINGS

- A FISHING ROD SO U CAN CATCH RANDOM PEOPLE AND START AMAZING LIFE CHANGING CONVERSATIONS WITH THEM

Well I always like to dress in something that is comfortable for me to be in all night...So a skirt I think I would pass on...And basically anything skimpy is a NO! Make sure your drugs or whatever you want to bring in that they won't let you bring in is well hidden...Um otherwise don't bring it because you possibly might get a boot out the front door...I personally love to go with a group a friends but there have been times that I have went to parties by myself because I always know people there...And it is a great environment to get to know people....I don't bring extra money because I don't need it....I bring enough money to buy me a couple powerades and yah thats good enough for me....And the rest of your questions I ain't even going to answer cause I have answered enough:)

Come to BrøKen this weekend, it be all full of musical variety and you'll be able to say/do/ingest/wear whatever the hell you want to there...
And it's free and there more than likely will be somesort of free somethign there...
and fairly easy to get to by transit...
and if you can't get there by transit it shouldn't be too hard to get a ride there/back.
and the people there (except for Doom) aren't assholes...
etc. etc. etc......

It is outdoors though, so warmer clothes are recommended.

I might be agro but fuck I am still a nice person...Just agro towards certain shit...Like still having to live with God in that box on Robson...He doesn't even pay any of the rent:( I have to pay all by myself...I am tired of supporting his ass:(
