my job sucks ass. i get to listen to irate americans bitch at me because they didnt feel they could get the credit card payment in on time this month, and really dont think its fair that we charge a late fee. I DON'T GIVE TWO SHITS. really. i dont make the rules. i just help apply them, if you dont like that, please, oh oh please, ask for my supervisor, so i can get you off my line.

i do data entry for an insurance company. what i do takes about 25 seconds and i do it about 1100 times a day. not much mental stimulation. my boss is abusive and unpredictable, but the hours are good, i get paid way too much and since it's an insurance company i get sweet benefits. i wear headphones in my cubicle too, which breaks my day up into cd's instead of hours.
i have zero job satisfaction, and i'm constantly looking for something that pays as well. honestly though, it's only a job, and there are other areas of life to satisfy yourself and stimulate your brain. |

high....
I'm a sales crew manager for a marketing company... I love my job because I earn what I ear... 100% commissions... If I come to work in a bad mood, or am depressed, or dont want to be at work, I make dick all.... if I come to work with focus and goals, the sky's the limit. |

Well, my job itself is pretty lame. I work graveyards in a large american big box in east vancouver. 'Cause I'm one of the biggest guys on nights, I got stuck with a really shit department. Lots of heavy lifting (think pallet after pallet of toilets, followed by pallet after pallet of tubs etc...).
The pay is barely acceptable, but they're flexible around my schooling, and because I work nights, I get an extra 10% on top of the standard company pay rates. I put up with a lot of stupidity, but I've found that being on top of things and working hard generally allows me to shrug it off. I've gotten enough respect from management that my supervisor pretty much has to let me do my thing. My peers, while not the most upstanding bunch of guys, are generally easy to get along with. It kinda sucks working with about 15 sweaty guys though. The ugly girls who work there start to turn my head when they arrive in the morning... All in all, I'd rate the job about a 6. I'd like a little more pay, and they really should have more people doing the job. Kinda overworked a bit. My satisfaction rarely affects my productivity. I figure if I'm there and getting paid, I give it my all. |
