Are your parents divorced
I was talking to a friend of mine today that said how it was fairly uncommon that my parents were still together after 30 years. I never thought it was _that_ strange at all.

mine have been divorced 10 years now and my dad is now living with his annoying bitchy/slutty girlfriend from Austria. i dont like her.

this topic is very important for me.
my parents have been together for 25 years and will remain together until they die. same with all my aunts and uncles and extended family. i am a big, big believer in a strong family. if anything, for the sake of the children. nothing makes me more angry when you have people who get married,have kids and give up to easily or are too stubborn to see it though esp when kids are involved. DIVORCE should be outlawd....well mabey thats abit extreme but it should be much harder to go about getting one. Plus people should be more careful about who they marry. Marrige is for LIFE you assholes! besides, what your left with after divorce is a toatally fucked up angels as a result. *yeah you all are right,excluding abusive drunk husbands for sure*** i just think its too easy to for people to get divorces and ive seen it hurt the ones i love. It's all about following your heart, and doing whats right for you. In my case. My mother knew my father wasn't meant for her after about 2 years into the marriage. But she already, had 2 young children, and she really did love my father...so stuck it till we were a lot older...and they my parents got a divorce. In all honesty, I know my parents better now then I did when they were a couple. Divorce ain't so bad, yo!

GENIUS!!! anyways i love my family ALOT i wish i turned out a bit better :(

Still together there were a few tough moments, but it was mostly stress from when we owned our own family restaurant.
Still going strong. but wow even in this thread alone li ke 80% of the replies the parents are divorced... thats not cool.

I don't think being together really counts. How many parents are married, happy and still love eachother?
I have a bunch of friends that have married parents. That dones't mean they still sleep in the same room or live in the same house.

Mine have been together for 28 years as of November 13th, and I hope that when I get married my relationship with my husband is as strong as theirs is. They've been through alot of shit, and in the last few years there's been times that I didn't know if they would make it. But they did, and I'm proud of them and of the fact that they are that strong and love each other that much.
Don't tell them I said so, but they are pretty cool people. :)
