basically i think the tickets are relatively high yes, line up tho is sick i mean one of the best *arguably* dj's in the world is gona be here..... not to mention alota other sick ones......
we all know it will cost alot but new years never is cheap i mean how much will all of u spend if u dont go...... and maybe go to a bar or something, prolly in the end basically the same...... i think it is gooing to be well worth it. |
|

I say if you enjoy goign to raves for the music and the people that are there then i guess it worth it .. even tho i think the price is too high... but it seems that here in N. America raves are just one big excuse to do lots of drugs... compared to Europe where ppls go for the music and the atsmophere...

holy shit
are people seriously complaining about ticket prices!!?!?!
this is the first nye to showcase such huge talent in Vancouver!!! check anywhere in the world... i know back at home in Montreal tix started at $100... and no place in the world that i know of is it more expensive to actually throw a show than in Vancouver... but we know that Vancouver loves to complain, so no matter what people try to do, there is always someone to chop em down. check out the prices for some of the club parties... they start at $50+ with only local talent?!?!?! |
|
|||
But sorry - we're not in Europe where their events easily fit around 10,000 plus and are fully corporated sponsored. We are living in Vancouver and the cost for throwing a massive is not cheap. There aren't any corporate sponsors funding this show. Seattle parties are much cheaper b/c they have the capacity to throw bigger shows PLUS their show ends at 4am. Thats around the same time Vancouver night clubs ends (3am). The show in Nanaimo is cheaper than us too b/c they don't have to have high costs on djs, permit, insurance, VENUE.
Well, it's really up to you guys -- if we see the lack of support for this show - I guess we'll have to lower the future talent level coming into Vancouver massives, so that it can accommodate the prices for you people. I bettcha you're gonna still complain. :punch: Bottom line is Vancouver people are spoiled and lets try not take it for granted. It's not easy being in our position. |

By the way, I can promise you that we'll try our best 101% to make sure this event won't disappoint you! We understand you guys are spending big $ for this show on nye and that is why we brought in the BEST talent available. Plus we'll have a sweet setup for NYE and we'll also look into the sound. I can truly say this is the BIGGEST NYE MASSIVE ever to hit Western Canada. Look at the talent that is coming in for NYE - BT!! KAI TRACID!! ZTRIP!! CJ STONE!!! Those acts aren't cheap on NYE.
cheers. Last edited by -STAN-; Nov 22, 04 at 07:32 AM. |

the man has got a point but i think if you took out the fireworks, sumo suits and all that other stuff that really is pointless to have at a rave then you'd probably save some money and be able to lower ticket prices down a bit.
People are not coming out for the fireworks and all the other special attractions they're coming for the talent and they know that solid corp has great parties. |

I don't know why the Security took away your glowsticks because most people were allowed to bring it in. Remind me to ask PNE about the glowsticks when the date comes closer (like week before) than I can confirm it with you guys.
Actually, fireworks aren't gonna be there anymore b/c the city says its a fire hazard :( Other attractions are actually pretty cheap. They're like on a small fraction of our cost, which won't effect the ticket pricing. |

hmmm well its nice to see you guys are throwing an effort into the show...but you can go to Seattle and see prety much the same line up + more for only $35 US...so I won't be at your party..but good luck with it anyways.. |

As we stated above, we're living in VANCOUVER and we're not as flexible. *sigh* Fireworks = won't happen b/c of fire hazard // Glowsticks = will have to see
If you're not allowed to bring in glowsticks, I'll make sure I get a good explanation from the venue why it isn't allowed to be brought in. But I think there's gonna be glowsticks sold inside regardless. Ps: The ticket pricing won't change even if you guys go complaining here online because we have high costs to cover. And there's lots of people outside of forums who understand our position and are buying tix like crazy. I hope you guys don't miss out what is going to be a great party. :D Last edited by -STAN-; Nov 22, 04 at 08:52 AM. |
