damn.. 4,900... hockey's like not even that dead in america. so how can 5,000 be overcrowded for a rave/ we still get the bleachers... and other rooms hockey games attendees have no access to. so anjew... who's not gonna show. i got 5 on z. Last edited by ty:rone; Nov 22, 04 at 04:17 PM. |

if u worked for PNE..and u knew people wanted to book ur venue for such an important date..and u knew u could charge double the amount...u'd do it wouldn't u?
and that is why...tickets are more "expensive"....its new years man, its time to have funnnn |

P.S. Solid has my full support for this party.....I paid 88 for my ticket from ticket master before I even knew when they were gonna be in stores.......looking at the line up and everything else they have going for this party I'd say the ticket prices are quite resonable. about stadium comment it is because on the floor u dont see 4900 people on the ice of a hockey game if they opened the top of the stadium where the cloth is and everything i think there is like 15 000 seats or something for the whole areana.... but u cannot fit that many into main room........ the "capacity" is prolly judged by how many people can fit into that big room and once there is that set # in the party they cannot have more because even though there is seats, other rooms, smoke area, there is that slight chance everyone will be on that 1 floor making that their capacity.....
and drugs with people it is common sence to be aware and watch out for friends and peps u went with, not to mention even just looking out for your fellow man. if shit goes down the first thing i'd do is head for first aid or send someone although i dont know much i got all my life gaurding credits :) as well as couple extra just because i wanted to maybe become a fire fighter. |

the ticket prices for nye havent changed since 2001.
maybe some of you havent been going to raves since then so you cant remember? this price is totally justifiable. everything is indeed doubled for new years, making a show very very pricey. plus they've got z trip, who IS the best dj in the world, not arguably. dont be pissed at these guys because you cant afford the show.... |

Ya, if you can't afford it then stay home, if you can then go. Just stop complaining and talking about the same stupid thing forever, its so annoying. Yes tickets are expansive cause its NYE and so much talent is comming and the venue is The Colisium and everything is double on NYE, that should answer everything, so can we stop talking about the same thing over and over and over again. Be happy that their is a Production company like Solid that booked the Colisium and is bringing the best talent to Vancouver. Save your money, go to work to earn it whatever, just come cause its going to be one hell of a party.

As the the Shy Brothers and Uh Oh can definitely verify, I've hardly been a fan-boy in the past for their shows and haven't hesitated to speak my mind when I've felt that they've made inaccurate claims or made decisions I haven't personally agreed with.
That said, as someone that has thrown a quality show on New Years Eve in the past, let me be the first to say that these ticket prices are far from unreasonable. On NYE, EVERYTHING from security, to bar staff, to coat check, to sound, to DJs cost DOUBLE TIME. With starting prices of $70, this would realistically translate to the same party on a regular date costing a measly 35 dollars. Seriously, this is not a ripoff in the slightest. If you're going to criticise anything about this show, by all means save yourself the flames and don't make it the goddamn price. If you don't want to spend money on New Years, then by all means stay at home and bang pots and pans with your mom. Last edited by Sean; Nov 26, 04 at 03:57 PM. |
