things could be worse. my brother got his car compounded for no good reason and they held on to it for 4 months making him pay the storage costs. they could even take it apart if they wanted to. so don't piss 'em off :)

and if they find your records tell them they have a radio show on the internet, and you were going to play some records for them, or tell them it's your friends birthday and you brought some records to spin at his house, you might make it through at this point, you might not, it's all up to them, and they've definitley gotten wise to djs in the last couple of years.
I wonder if this is another reason more and more DJs are using CDs when they travel to other countries to perform. A booklet full of CDs sitting in the front seat is far less inconspicuous than a trunk-load of vinyl.

Vinyl may look more impressive but its practicality is waning since CDs and laptops can do essentially the same job, especially for DJs who do a lot of travelling.

tru,but its not bout look, its all about sound, the sound is not the same off a CD as it is off a needle on vinyl... analog baby, wut.

watching a dj (like BT for examply) spin a "laptop" set, is pretty fucking boring, it may be tight, but perhaps they should start projecting a screenshot of the monitor and keys so that people can see what they are doing. Watching someone go "clicky tap clicky click tap tap tpa clicky tap" behind a computer is pretty boring if u ask me... dj's spinning vinyl are alot more connected with the audience as well as the beats.

after silence, that which comes closest to expressing the inexpressible, is music.

I never go across the border with people I don't know.

I'd rather go alone in my car then with people I don't know

There is no music because the dj was stopped at the border for having vinyl instead of cd's.

Very true...Vinyls and CD/MP3's is very different sensation....Thats why if I work on a laptop/CDplayer I usually work with a other VJ or prepare some videos that I can mixed in between...With that you can definitly play with the croud...
You know you have to play the game all the way ... ;)

But the border thing sucks...They always ask me 10 000questions like I was some sorte of dealer/imigrant or what ever...The Us/mexican border is much worser thought I had so many problemes there....:Serotonin
