God has many different faces. It is energy. A powerful energy that creates life. God to me is my travelled lives from the past that can effect my decisions of the present. When I pray to god, I pray that I take with me the experiences from my past-life, to my present life and can make informed decisions through regressions;P

I was born and raised Catholic. But now I'm not affiliated with any religion.
I believe that there is a higher power, maybe God. I don't believe everything else that Catholicism preaches, though. I'm not into organized religion really. I guess i'm a fence sitter like Myra. I just have my own beliefs. Also, Scientific fact: the sun is a big ball of super hot gas Scientific theory: evolution If evolution was a fact, this argument would not exist. Also, the world would be a very different place in terms of religion. |

i believe in evolution and a creator. we couldn't have just randomly popped out of nowhere without a creator, look at the science of your body and how it works.. you think all that design and function was just a random accident? also, look at the world around you and how it works, and how the millions of species and everything is in a huge equilibrium livin together.. oh.. right.. that was all just random chance. i don't follow 1 religion, I try to read lots of stuff and come up with my own beliefs.. also, how could anyone believe 2 humans, adam and eve, showed up out of nowhere from god and made us? uhh.. that's now how our creator works. if that was the case, why wouldn't god just throw some random species in the mix out of thin air? i would keep going but i have to leave

The good thing about science - as aposed to religeon - is a thing called the scientific method(use google). Science makes mistakes all the time... but lucky us.. science has the ability to rectify them. This means we will always have discussion... even if the body of evidence it 99.999% in favor of evolution. Unfortunately not everything yields to reductionism. One of my favorite quotes was from the movie "Contact". Alien: "Did you love your dad?" Ellie: "Yes." Alien: "Prove it." :) A. |

It's as silly to subscribe completely to how scientists could 'theoritically' connect the dots using facts as it would be to think that God created the earth in seven days.
plus you quoted the movie contact. man that movie was baaad :p |

That's cos they're paying way too much attention to the physical end of evolution, and not enough to the mental and spiritual parts. Those are the parts that can actually move fast enough to be observed... |
