without having read this whole thread, i'll say that science is what can be observed and replicated. no one has been around for millions of years to see one organism become another, and this hasn't been contrived in a laboratory environment either. the real 'clincher' for the Theory of Evolution is supposed to be a transitional organism (i.e. a fish halfway to becoming a land mammal, or some shit like that) and to date none have been found.

God has many different faces. It is energy. A powerful energy that creates life. God to me is my travelled lives from the past that can effect my decisions of the present. I was born and raised Catholic. But now I'm not affiliated with any religion.

I believe that there is a higher power, maybe God. I don't believe everything else that Catholicism preaches, though. I'm not into organized religion really.

i believe in evolution and a creator. we couldn't have just randomly popped out of nowhere without a creator, look at the science of your body and how it works.. you think all that design and function was just a random accident? also, look at the world around you and how it works, and how the millions of species and everything is in a huge equilibrium livin together.. oh.. right.. that was all just random chance. i don't follow 1 religion, I try to read lots of stuff and come up with my own beliefs.. also, how could anyone believe 2 humans, adam and eve, showed up out of nowhere from god and made us? uhh.. that's now how our creator works. if that was the case, why wouldn't god just throw some random species in the mix out of thin air? i would keep going but i have to leave

So what exactly seperates these two?

The good thing about science - as aposed to religeon - is a thing called the scientific method(use google). Science makes mistakes all the time... but lucky us.. science has the ability to rectify them. This means we will always have discussion... even if the body of evidence it 99.999% in favor of evolution.

Unfortunately not everything yields to reductionism.
