Car questions and opinions?
1. Im looking into buying or leasing a car. Some of these lease deals seem to good to be true. Anyone have experince or sugestions with these kinds of deals?
2. Im looking primarly at the Honda Civic SI. Hynda and Mazda also produce some simular modles, but much cheeper? How do these companies compare from your experince and knowlege? thanx very much :) Last edited by Ree Fresh; Jan 21, 05 at 07:34 PM. |

Nice one! Krista what are you looking into? Im really loving the honda civic SI... goes for $228+tax a month lease (2.9% intrest). After 5 years I can buy it for $7000. aparently a 5 year old civic goes for $12,000 right now? This weekend im probly gonna check out the Hynda and Masda dealerships. PS: you only get karma for well reasons on your opinons :P |

I just typed out a long ass response that dissappeared. argh
I just sold on '01 SI for 13,000. Honda always has specials on new leases but everything depends on how much you put down. Financing as well. But it would cost more monthly. My best friends own a leasing company and they have gotten two girls from my work boths '04 Civics for very good prices. Before I decided on my current car...Martin said over his dead body would he let me drive a Mazda. He says they are crap. Sure they are cheap. But you get what you pay for. (I have no opinion on this matter...just repeating what he said) If you want, I could give you a website where you could check them out. Also they did tell that the '06 Civic Coupe is going to have a different body style so you might want to keep that in the back of your mind. However i know what it's like to want a new car...NOW. |

Also..Ive never heard of someone who bought a brand new Honda, that didnt like it.
Myself included when I bought my last car. The good thing about a lease is you're into a new car before your warranty runs up. And you get a new car every 3-4 years! |

I hear that Hynda has really improved over the last few years however becuase its name isnt as big as Honda its been forced to lower its prices. Or is it actualy a crapper car? |

if you are going monthly...whats an extra $50 or so to have a more decent car?. also...you see adds for *insert car* $200 a month. WOW! But that usually will be with a fairly good chunk down. You can control how much you want to put down by how much you want to spend a month. Last edited by ash1ee; Jan 21, 05 at 09:22 PM. |

well so far it sounds like the Honda is the better car?
Hmm lease or loan? -So far the good side to the lease is no money down and its at a 2-3% intrest rate. -I plan to buy it after 5 years and posibly deal it in for an other. -If the car gets totaled the company just takes back the car and all I loose is my the lease money spent. -I dont plan on driving it past the km rage either. Otherwise I dont really see much of a difference with buying or leasing? |

Mazda 3 is the best small car out at this year. It has numerous awards, Road&Track, Car and Driver and Jd Power all rate it as best in Class. The Mazda is based on a all new platform that is shared w/ the Volve S40 and V50 witch are $40,000 cars. Where as the Honda Civic is a 4 year old car that is going to get replaced in the next model year w/ a huge upgrade to the engine and chassis. Also mazda finacing is having some good incentive on a the moment, If you are a new graduate you get a discount right off the top before any wheeling and dealing w/ the dealer. The only bad thing with Mazda is that they do not offer a coupe only a sedan or wagon. This opion is coming from someone who owns a 97 Acura Integra and 99 Honda Civic Si. I love my cars and have not had any problems but if i where going for something new go Mazda.

Also don't lease, that only saves you money if you get a new car every 2-3 years. When you lease there are quite a few restrictions put on by the manufacture like kms, mods, and insurance. If you finance make your payments as high as you can and as short a term as possible and you will get the lossest % interest and save the most$.
