so cleaning a washroom is the same as training someone to identify scents to the point of refusing returns/exchanges? exchanging sizes or refunds, what's the fucking difference? you're telling me that lululemon sniffs crotches for a size exchange with tags? but not for refunds with tags? way to really pick the important parts of a discussion there. i still call complete and utter bullshit. the only way this could possibly be true is if it's an isolated incident, there's absolutely no way this is a company policy. |

First of all, I don't like you referring to my friend as a bitch.
Secondly, washroom cleaning was in reference in your comment about teaching new staff how to do plumbing. Thirdly, take some A.D.D. pills and read the story carefully. Again, I suggest some reading lessons. *Why I'm explaining and defending an innocent story to you is far beyond me right now. |

so cleaning a toilet = plumbing?
i'm saying it's not reasonable to train retail staff to do what a drug dog would do. and when have human noses been dependable? hey, really, once again, how does the difference between a size exchange and a refund suddenly change the situation? hey, it's kinda funny, you imply my reading skills are sub-par and that's a-ok, i call your moody friend a bitch and that's offensive? strange. ya know what else is strange? your tone, suddenly a few people think i might have a point, and you have nothing to say? typical. PS: have you considered the fact that maybe your friend looked like she had a really stinky box? that would explain why she started crying like she had something to hide. |

She went IN for a size exchange, and left with a refund. *READ* You characterized a friend of mine, who you don't obviously know, as a bitch. Hmmm... yes, I do take offense to that. Too bad you were raised that way. How tragic! This was an "awareness" thread. Not so much as a "never shop at Lululemon" thread. PS: I guess you might know who "looks" like they may have a stinky box, cuz you've experienced them most in your lifetime? One speaks from experience I guess. |

She must have thought that the policy..."making sure it's not worn"....included a big sniffFFff* What a geek...I bet she thinks she's going to be a manager or get a raise if she makes a bust on someone who's returning a worn item with tags on it~ LOLOLloloHAhah you know....those people* HAha.

It is really amazing what people think they can return. I've had lots of people try to return merchandise that reeks of BO but sorry to disappoint but I'm no crotch sniffer. I'm sure lululemon has had a lot of people try to return stuff that's been worn and while I'm sure it isn't company policy, its probably something that they've sadly become accustomed to doing to pick out the people trying to return worn merchandise. It's too bad your friend was so offended by what this sales associate did, maybe she shouldn't worry so much what other people think. If they gave her a full refund anyway or would of exchanged whatever she bought no problem after the crotch sniff what's the big deal?

Cashier(Taddy_Bare)-"These have been worn" Customer-"No they haven't" Cashier-"There are so many people that try to return worn merchandise with tags on...I know the smell. I know you wore these, sorry, you can't return them." Customer-"You are fucking psycho...let me talk to your manager." Last edited by lou_belle; Feb 18, 05 at 01:23 AM. |

This is done ALL the time in retail.
At OTW we would take the garment in the office and examine it - yes on occassion we would sniff the armit although turning it inside-out usually would provide us with deoderant marks which were good enough to turn down a refund/exchange. Once upon a time, we (my asst manager and I) turned a pair of jean inside out to find...dun dun dun...blood stains. YUM. Never sniffed crotches, that's for damn sure! Garments that are questionable should NEVER be examined on the sales floor, either! Thank GOODNESS our policy at AE is to make the customer happy. I'll never have to worry about having clothing thrown at me by an angry customer again! |
