I always try to give spare change to homeless people. Yeah some might use it for drugs but a lot don't.

there's a few bums around my work that i give spare change to, but they go get me cans of beer at like 3 in the morning when i'm working and he's never ripped me off.

other than that i've seen bums attempt to steal money, i don't give it to them unless i really know them like this guy thats always around my work

When i was in Europe (Russia) i was at a night club called hollywood...............after getting out at 4am when it closed this bum came up to me said he was also in the club celebrating his bday................then he said he wanted money for bus to get back home and also wanted a drink for his birthday.................so we went to a bar had some drinks talked and he offered to give me his gun liter......worth 20$.....i said no thanx since it cost 20 and is probably alot for him then i gave him money and he said............Phil from canada i will remember you and thank you greatly

There was a bum standing in the middle of the intersection when I was coming back from dindin d/t with the ol' lady. Anyways, peeps were chocked how he was just standing there blocking 'em so I said, "I think you'd do alot better if you stand on the sidewalk" followed by a few chuckles from other folks walking. The bum uttered a confused mutter and scampered off to the sidewalk. Anyways, I don't have spare change until I've aquired every possible resource that I will ever require from money. Until I do, it isn't spare because I still have a use for it. Think about it. Now if they were busking, that's different, so long as they don't suck.

I'm looking for a parking spot in Yaletown when this homeless person jumps out waving me over to a spot he's found. As I'm paying the meter, he informs me that I only need to pay until 8, and proceeds to take a quarter out of his own pocket to pay for the rest of the time. I gave him 5 bucks (still, cheaper than valet).
