i just finished:
Free Culture by Lawrence Lessig it's non-fiction book by a lawyer about the history and future of copyrights. i know that sounds boring, but it's actually really interesting and pretty alarming at some points as well. most of the book is geared toward the whole P2P file sharing controversy with the internet, but he discusses other parts of the copyright feud going on right now as well. |

Dead Air by Iain Banks
really really good book. about a radio DJ in britain after September 11th. not really about terrorism and stuff, but lots of paranoa in the book, that's for sure. last 80 pages are the kind that make it hard to put the book down because they're so good. |

I recently finished reading 1984 by George Orwell, and I must say it's my favourite novel of all time. I had to read it for my grade 12 english class, and let me say I picked it up and could not put it down. I finished the book 6 days after the class got it. I recommend reading it, it's about totalitarian governements and such, BRILLIANT!
