I tend to make a list of only the stuff I need or am running out of. Then I hit the grocery store and pick up everything on the list, and there are those ocasional times where I tend to pick up something not needed.
I find that if I stick to my list I save money. Where if I dont have a list I'll just pick up stuff I think I need when really I dont. (and the aftermath of that is a huge checkout bill). |

Working nightshift in a grocery store gives me plenty of opportunity to decide what to get before I head home. I'll maybe do a massive shopping spree once a month for items that will last at least a month (bulk and whatnot) but, for the most part, I just pick and choose items as I need them before I head home from work.
Oh, and I'll fourth (or whatever number it's up to) that NO SHOPPING WHILE STONED sentiment. Paranoia can set in quite heavily when in the high stressed environment of a grocery store. Not many people really enjoy getting groceries and you can see it in their eyes. |
