id have agree with Carrie, the second room should get more hype, and recegnition (sp) you dont wanna go in there, cuz its smaller than a living room, and ends up a sweat-fest near the middle of the night.
id say make the hallway type place by the smoke-pit doors a room, thus making the trance room bigger cuz it wouldnt be seperated....everyones happy. i think it could be done cuz that area is not the entrence, its like a mezz.=) and yes fans would be a good thing, in any room of any rave. i hate goin into a room and sweat is dripping off the ceiling. i mean yeah, you cant stop it from happening, but at least you can slow it down. ill think of some more stuff later, but thats my peice now ;) |

I remember my first Rave was at the Maritime. It was done in a wide setup where the front of the main room was at the wall directly facing when you enter the from the lounge room. the first room when you enter was just that, a lounge. if memory serves Morning Glory was the host of the lounge room that evening, there was couches and low lighting with chill music..
now the maritime is a pocket-droper, cuz when you get home its like you lost your wallet. what used to be a lounge is now some high lighting floor area to sit on. a sectional breaks hotbox, sweatier then my balls in leather chaps at the beach. plus a few anal retentive 'police like' security in the mix. none of this is based on any individual production. just comparing the differences between setups now and five years ago. |
