I watched supersize me last night and it definately made me want to become a vegan. That stuff his g/f made for him looked great...
Either way, I used to eat very healthy before, not vegan but eating healthy definately makes you feel better. I'm contimplating being a vegan now... all I need to do is find a hot girlfriend who's a vegan chef. |

Also, there are so many good tofu products out there- you can get fake steak strips and stuff, very tasty. Anyways, that's my 2 cents. :) |

Open response to Baby-Phat:
No, I'm calling you an idiot because chicken, fish and turkey are all animals, and if you really describe yourself as a vegetarian you're wrong. You're not one, and it doesn't describe your lifestyle. Maybe you like to think of yourself as 'cool' and 'vegetarian' because that's hip or something, when in reality all you are is iron deficient. I'm not insulting you because of your 'choices', I'm much more concerned about your semantic abuse. [p.s. Some people are vegetarian yet eat fish, I think this is dumb too. Fish are animals, being a vegetarian means you don't eat animals, fish inclusive.] |

Yup Myra apparently us veggies do taste better! I dunno about if any other vegetarians notice this but do you notice that people that eat meat smell different then those that do not? Been a veggie for a very long time and I don't think that I am going back to eating meat.

we have some real idiots here.
there are a few differnt types of vegetarians some eat fish, some poultry. - neither of wich is actualy considered meat its an increadably heathy diet, even better than cutting out those two if this doesnt fit with YOUR definition then come back when you learn a little more. its important to eat alot of nuts without meat. and tofu can actualy be really good. i find it just tastes like whatever you cook it with anyway... * ive never actualy been a vegetarian, though i ate like one all through high school. i lived with my mother and sister, and my moms BF at the time were all vegetarians |

^^ Okay honestly, what is the point of getting all technical/anal about the exact definition? If you read what I said a few posts up I explained that it was just the easiest way to describe my diet. I used to know the exact term but have long since forgotten it cuz I never used it, people just understood what I meant when I said I still ate chicken. *shrug*
So shoot me cuz I am not a complete vegetarian. Ok thanx. But anyways, this is a really stupid thing to argue or debate about. Albeit kinda entertaining. heh. :D |

My whole point of being technical about it is because just this... the definition is being lost! It makes me sad :(
I get what you're saying and truth be told, I really have nothing against you, more lou belle saying she is a vegetarian after 2 days of not eating meat. There is a difference between being a vegetarian and trying to follow a vegetarian diet. Enjoy your chicken! I can't even eat the veggie chicken burgers anymore... the texture is strange. :( Last edited by LDUB; May 26, 05 at 04:30 PM. |
