fuck me for helping bring this inane and old thread back to life, but i need to point out that i could teach a monkey how to play french horn, or an oboe as well. DJing, like pretty much all skills, can be as easy or as hard as you want it to be. you can play intro to outro minimal techno or you can play 6/8 on 4/4 jazzy/deep house on 3 turntables in key and change moods by changing the key over the course of the set while scratching/sampling/looping separate chord progressions on top of all of it.
most musicians don't write music either.
all that said, i still agree with the rest of the curmudgeons that posted. DJs generally speaking, are talentless douchefags. i think that has a lot to do with a musically uneducated audience, generally speaking. if the audience didn't put up with out of tune sloppy rave trance DJs on 5 pills then we wouldn't be having this discussion. or maybe it's the DJs fault for catering to other pilled out retards that don't notice train wrecks and key clashes.
