Reading all this makes me very disappointed. For the longest time in the world, there WERE no female djs.
From my personal opinion, we need to learn how to respect each other, and others, and this and/or outside of this scene. Booking all female djs is not just about tits. These girls need a start on a dj career. And I think Christy deserves big thanks for putting all female stage together, AND for giving a chance to those girls to show their talent and be heard. All of you have your own opinions, whatever they are, but I say we need to appreciate their interest and love in music! And if you really think about apex, what IS Apex? Its not a big rave or a massive, where only THE best talent is brought, and where u payt 55 $ + a ticket, which is thrown by 1 or 2 or whatever promoters/productions . come on, its APEX! Its all about promoters promoting their own stage, it’s a chance for them to show their set up, and action, and hope the attendees will attend their upcoming party and not only that, but also gives a big chance for some unknown talent to finally show themselves. Everyone needs a start... Maybe they became 10 x better then from the last time you heard them. You can’t judge until you hear. I would say 75% of attendees have no fucking idea wtf the difference between stage 1 and stage 10 will be! It’s all the same to them – Techno! Am I wrong? And please tell me you don’t like it when you are at the party having fun, and you are dancing away or just standing sipping on the beer, whatever it is, and u look up and this cute cute face looks at you ( like Bri or Christy), while trying to mix their record. Come on, we all love to see female djs! I personally love it! And they do deserved to be called Hotties, because they ARE hotties! We are all in rave seen.. where is the PLUR guys?? LOL lets give each other hugs and kisses, and live in pz :) we all gonna have a blast at apex, no matter what stage you choose! But for those that appreciate female dj talent, please show your support, and just be there!

i am playing on an ALL FEMALE STAGE in Estonia, at the Sun dance music festival.....BUT IT IS SPONSORED BY TAMPAX. ppl have all female stages all over the world for lots of other reasons.
AND funny, how just a little while ago, it was suggested that i put a "miss" in front of B.Traits, so more ppl would know im female........ jokes..... it was said to be a "better marketing tip". sort of the same to when ppl said keep the name BABY traits...

once again...
io've got no problems with an all female stage, in fact i applaud missy for pushing female dj's to the forefront. i've got no problems with girl dj's. the more girl dj's, the more girls in the scene, and that's fine by me....and the more djs in total then the more likelyhood of the one's i hear being good. i've got no problem with female dj's using their hotness to draw a corwd....it's your hotness, use it as you see fit.... all i was saying is it'd be nice to hear a little bit about music and not JUST "look at the eye-candy we've got", which is what i got off of the thread... the one thing now? this stage has officially got the most press and notice of any apex stage hands down as of this moment :)

I'm just blown away that people are still arguing over this! There's nothing to argue! It's just a stage! and this is what's going to happen on it! I'm seeing alot of passive aggressive males doing 90% of the negative posting in this thread, with severely negative attitudes, which are mirroring some severely bruised egos. You guys are passing this stage off as a type of "pre-mature failure", dubbing it to be something aweful and demeaning destruction to our scene, making this huge drama about how terrible it is BEFORE YOU'VE EVEN HEARD ANYONE PLAY, BEFORE THE EVENT HAS EVEN BEGUN. I know what this is about now: This is about CONTROL. This is about your hopes to maintain a firm grip in holding some sort of control over this stage, in which you have ZERO part in. I swear if another man lectures me about "the meaning of music" and how females are "ruining it for everyone".... Your balls will be on display at the front entrance of the party. You have NO RIGHT to tell ANYONE who does and does not deserve to appreciate, spin or understand music. We ALL love music, and to accuse a group of pretty girls who have talent and stage presence, that we're suddenly taking all meaning away from music, is disgusting. Puff up your chests somewhere else, you guys. Just let us do our thing.

i think there is some bruised male egos here - only because they cant just post a picture of themselves spinning and receive the same amount of attention - and they should be a bit bothered by that. numerous guys in this thread have talked about not denying any of these fine ladies their talent, merely stated that they want to know what they spin. i dont think thats too much to ask really. and you have to admit, the mere fact thatyou asume\did post just the ladies pictures means that you are indeed drawing attention to the sexuality of the ladies rather then their technical skill.
