The Master Cleanse (aka - lemonade diet)
has anyone on here ever done it??
I was discussing it with a co-worker who swears by it as a way to feel healthier and clean out your system and she has me pretty convinced on doing it. You can do it for pretty much as long as you want but she says to start out with doing it for 10 days. I have read up about it online and what not aswell but I want to see if any others have first hand experience doing this master cleansing thing and what they have to say about it. For those of you who don't know what it is here is some info on it:Master Cleanse |

well it is supposed to clean out ALL toxins from your body, that is the main purpose of it, hence why it is called "Master Cleanse". You can't properly cleanse your body while putting other junk into it. Sounds pretty harsh, I know, but I think it is worth a try. I would really like to hear some more first hand experience about it first though. :)

I don't think it makes you shit for the full 30 min - 1 hour straight... if that is the case I definately don't want to be doing this cleanse haha... shitting for that long is probably painful!
on the upside though... Quote:

^ If I do infact decided to go ahead and do it, I know I have the will power to complete the entier cleanse. I don't plan on doing it for more than 10 days though. If I do it, it will be experimental and if I feel good afterwards then I will probably continue to do it periodically(no more than a few times a year) to keep cleansed inside...but I don't think you need to do it for more than 10 days at a time unless you are actually trying to lose tons of weight, which the article strictly states is not the main purpose of the cleanse. I am really curious to see if I will actually feel energized and healthy afterwards seeing as how lately I have been completely exhausted.

well as it says in the article and as I hear from my friend at work,it is a process... you obviously don't feel great whilst you are cleansing, you must complete the cleanse and start back eating healthy foods with nutritional value, which will leave you feeling energized and overall much healthier. I questioned the whole process myself which is why I made this post int he first place, to see if anyone on here had done it and had any feedback to add. But the more I probe my friend with questions and read more informational articles, it sounds very interesting and successful. I am going to try it and find out. I will let you know how it goes!

why don't you just start 'eating healthy foods with nutrictional value' now and just let proper eating cleanse all the bad from within your body?
this way.. same effect in the end, and you don't have to go through the no so great feeling whilst you are cleansing |

I knew a girl who did some liquid cleanse diet.
she was so pushy on how it made her feel better and etc. and she didn't drink alcohol, or do drugs while on this cleanse. the day she was off the cleanse was her bday party and she was drinking and doing drugs and pigging out on ever snack food that was out on the counter. whats the point of making your body feel sooo great while doing the cleanse when you know that after, you're just going back to an unhealthy lifestyle. |

I'm sure starting off a healthy lifestyle with this unbinge is very unhealthy. think of it as being an addict. your body is used to having all the bad stuff, and if you take away the good and the bad, your body will have nothing. I suggest changing your eating habits.. then after a couple months finish off with the cleanse |
