I got a pair of Dolce and Gabbana pants that i payed $295 for them when i was in grade 11 so they are about five years old and they still look plus they are the most comfortable pair of jeans I own so in my opion they were worth it. So if you like them get them in my opion.

i look at it like this and have with everything it buy.
I make money so i can spend it. One way or another my money is gona get spent, im either gona nickle and dime it away on little shit i dont really need or drop a large chunk on something i really want. I try not to think about what im buying and how much it costs just do i want it or not, if i were you i would buy them, its only 150$ more then a normal pair of jeans, but everytime you go out in them your gona feel 150$ better about the whole situation. Money can be made and saved again NP the feeling you get when you finally get that one thing youve been goin mental over for so long is way to sweet to pass up. |

Rhia, before you buy them, TRY ON SOME CITIZENS.
They are the best jeans EVER. I have 2 pairs, I'm slowly building my collection. Actually, more like waiting for Aritzia to get the new fall styles in :P They range in price from $200-$300 and they're amazing denim. And I know denim. I also love my Sevens, I have a couple pairs, but the denim isn't quite as nice as the Citizens. Rock & Republics are nice, but the Beckhams are sooooooo impractical. I don't see you dressing up THAT often to get your money's worth. |

After trying on a few paris and looking more closely at expencive jeans compared to much more afordable jeans... ive noticed a huge diffrence in quality, fade, wash, stiching etc. I can see why the jeans are priced at what they are (although its still too much lol)
Nat: I totaly want to check out the citizens! Your right the r&r's are too long, so guess I dont have to worry about getting thoughs. However one pair of sevens fit me pretty well. Mavi's fit me perfectly, but I cant find any in the kind of wash I want :( Nat you need to take me jean shoping please!!! Mindgirl and Diva: Thanx so much for for sugestions! Ill deffinently check them out :D Nev & Ashley: dam I wish I could rock the r&r VB's with you girls but they dont fit short ppl very well :( Thing is I dont buy jeans that often, and Im the kind of person that rather have quality of quantity. Ok fashion Nat please take me shooping!!! |

rock and republics are for tall people. the only person that i've seen that has looked good in them has been brent; he's over 6' and skinny. anybody can save up and spend $300 on jeans, but not everyone can pull it off.
you're better of buying a pair of fidelities or whatever they're called. the quality of r&r is the same as any other pair of jeans. some dumb emblem on the ass too let other people know they were 'designed' by some washed up english has been isn't a valid reason imo. jewels on the ass, the area you sit on most of the time is also not reasonable. i'd be worried bout popping th crystals off the whole time. not too mention how uncomfortable that must be. fuck, what next? i have a pair of juicys i bought 3 years ago - they were $300 before tax, and i justified buying em' cause they were none stretch and at that time all jeans came with elastain. they now have holes in the groinal area which is fine, i still love them but they're way too flared so i only wear them around richmond. i bought a pair of citizens bout 2 years ago. i bought them because they were tapered and the only tapered jeans on the market at the time. they have holes in the groinal area now. either way, those jeans were bought for valid reasons; i hate elastain, and i really wanted tapered jeans. i've got a pair of matix jeans, they cost me under $50 - they're allright. good stiff denim none of that fading bullshit, (low rise and flared) they're made for skating so they're funtional in the sense that i can squat at work without my ass hanging out. and they DON"T stretch out after days of wearing em'/ i got 2 pairs of WE jeans - also a skate brand. the first pair is baggy, low rise - and i loooooooooooove them so effin' much. my newer pair is straight leg and i bought them at the beginning of summer. they're stretch, but i got them a couple sizes bigger so they fit loose yet still form fitting. i love them. either way both were a little over $100, and way cooler then anything aritzia will ever carry. i love WE. i can keep babbling about denim for hours. i think i'm going too go back too get some choppy sleep tho. well in closing most the jeans that aritzia and the likes carry are played out and basicaly the same style over and over with different stupid washes. keep it original, don't spend more then a bill on something one of your 16 year old students is rocking. whatever you do don't get fading or whiskering enless it's subtle - god that looks dumb, looks like someone pissed themselves. holy shit i need too shut up now. too each their own, my style is fucked. ^ Thanks Kell... I tryed the phidelities as well, but they dont have them in the wash and style I want. Personaly im all over a sick looking faded wash and im kinda digging the ruff sanded holes as well. But i think thats absolutly insane to by such a great pair of jeans with holes in it and as for the jewels, your right I think thats so dumb becuase I can see them falling off in a matter of washes.
Right now I cant find any mavi's with the wash I want... Im gonna go out with Nat this week and shell help me find somthing that fits pefectly and I love :D |

What is the wash you are looking for? If you're looking for a particular wash with a pair of mavis, check out off the wall, their jean wall is a little overwhelming... |

there's NO WAY I could justify spending 300bucks on jeans. I'm a thrifty shopper when it comes to clothes. When it comes to jeans though I do gotta say that when I did spend a little more I was alot more happy with the fit and cut then the times I went with the cheaper pair.
If you can afford 300 on jeans and really want them then go fo....no I just can't agree with $299 PLUS tax on jeans, MAYBE 100-150, but they'd have to be some damned good fitting, good looking & comfortable jeans still |

^Tryed it, but I already have the darkest wash of mavis in the style I want, and i wouldnt consider it very dark :( Honestly though... any wash that raelly catches my eye ususaly starts at around $150. The ones I absolutly love are a good $250 LOL |

I work at bootlegger (they pride themselves on being big into jeans, although we don't carry anything over 200 I think) and I have come to realize that it all depends on the fit. A pair of jeans can fit awesome and only be 80, or they can be 30. I get a really nice discount and so I go for the pricey items, like parasuco and I have tried on Sevens and I love them, I still haven't taken the plunge and bought a pair. Currently I lvoe silver and parasuco. I love they way they fit me. Another brand that I love (and for some reason is really good in price) is Moto... I bought two pairs last week and I love hte denim and the darker wash.
Don't get me wrong, designer jeans are awesome and yeah if I had more money to burn I would buy them, but for now I like my jeans and I get them at Bootlegger mostly because I get a discount on the clothing. I still want to buy this pair of sevens that I found in the men's club. The associates in there were ooing about the assage I got from them and they were so comfy. Your comment on mavi's is true, they don't last very long, but that's mostly because of the way they are treated. They are made to be a really really soft denim and when the material is worked, it thins them out in the process. If you want to spend that much on them, go for it... if they fit you that's what's really important. Ultimately it's all about how they look on your body, not how much they are. |
