Skytrain Police

Not to pick sides here, but Fable I don't see race playing a factor in who they Transit Police would hassle. Maybe in the US would that happen, but even then, that is a gross generalization.

I would say it is more likely that a group of teenagers that ride together on the train would get hassled.

Canada is dubbed as a multi-cultural country. And the amount of Racism that goes on here compared to the US is minimal.

Also, in agreeance with Shawn. I have seen many Skytrain Special Constables that are Inidian (Eastern). Skytrain like any other employer in the province are an equal opportunity employer. They would be more likely to hire a minority.

Talking to a few guys at work and we all agreed that watch the first shooting inccident/accident on OUR transit system will involve a black dude or a misunderstood brown dude. Mind you this was a conversation where everyone was NOT white and all took transit to work.

For example, the brown guy from Austrailia who was killed on the UK transit system 'cause he looked like a "terrorist", was moving franticly thru the system and posibly was wearing a bomb. I'm sure you all heard about that.

1) I never stated that i knew the numbers either
2) even so, 1-5 visible minorities out of a force of 70 is NOT equal opportunity even at the surface level
3) racism here - compared to that of the US makes it minimal? What the fuck does mean? Statistics look smaller on paper, but in real life does that happen? Do people just vanish in thin fucking air, because in the US "racism is worse?"

I respect your right to an opinion and no, it isnt always a race issue, BUT the fact that there STILL ARE race issues, means that ideas such as "racial represenation" at law enforcement levels is a ligitimate concern for many people. It might just so happen that many of the concerned people are not white. And many of these people also dont have a real voice. And many of these people just dont have a choice. Perhaps this may sound ludicrous to someone such as yourself, but who the fuck are you, to think that your own personal lack of experience with either corruption or prejudice dictates what the reality is? And just because a unit or enforcement agency has equal opportunity situations, can you tell me that there are a majority of white police officers simply because of the fact that they are better? That white(irish/italian/french) police officers in a landscape such as ours in canada with the visible ethnic communities we have here, just happen to be better for the job?
