It's your CHOICE to be a women!
So by next year all women will have the choice wether or not they would like to have their periods. It is a period suppressing pill that you take each day, it stops the bleeding, menstruation and pms is completely gone.
Try to imagine a women without PMS. HAha...sure you THINK it sounds great. Some really lame people that I saw interviewed on the news were all like "Yeah dude...I wish my girlfriend didn't have PMS." "Oh how much does that cost? I'm sick of the curse." Are women not supposed to be the shoulder to cry on? A woman's role in society is to be sensitive and empathetic towards others...how is one supposed to be a women without the true essence of being a women? Without your monthly reminder of how shitty it is to be in constant pain and going through emotional hell...not even understanding your OWN feelings...you will be throwing away exactly what you wish every man had to go through. This is what akes a women SENSITIVE AND EMPATHETIC. It's what makes you a mother, a caregiver and an awesome friend. Of course it's tough to go through every month and it causes a lot of stress in relationships..blah blah blah the obvious.. but I think that it's not something you change just because a new drug pops up. I mean WTF!? The doctor that created that shit pill is only thinking about how much money he can make. He didn't get into medicine for the love of human beings that's for sure. IS THERE ANYONE THAT IS AS DISGUSTED AS I AM?! |

That just seems wrong...and how safe or healthy could this possibly be?
How would it work anyways? Does it make the uterine lining cease to build up or something...? I already hate taking birth control as is, and don't want to fuck with my body anymore than I really have to. No thanks. |

uhhh.... this has been happening longer than you think... if you continuously take the pill, without stopping for a week to have your period, then wow, low and behold, you dont get your period. however! there is scientific research being done right now to find out if this is safe or not. the only thing i have heard so far is that by continuously taking the pill can cause your bone density to go down if you're doing this in your twenties and early thirties. as well as if you plan on having children, you have to wait up to a year for you to get your period back, and its still pretty risky if you're even able to have children due to the drastic changes in your hormones.
however, i am one of those ppl that cant take birth control without getting really sick or it effecting my body in a negative way. so i am stuck with using condoms forever. (im against using an IUD) |

^But when you keep taking the pill the uterine lining is still building up...and i'm sure it's not good for it to stay there too long. I've never heard of doctors actually recommending taking the pill (without the 7 day 'breaks') for any longer than 3-6 months absolute MAX.

i know a girl that knows a girl that took some anti-PMS thing (i think it was birth control) and she didn't get her period for a WHOLE YEAR! then when her period came back, it didn't leave and now she has had her period for over a year. what a poor girl.

Wow, you really think that monthly experience is what defines you as a woman? That's pretty sad.
You should also recognize that a lot of women are already affected so strongly by current birth control pills that they don't menstruate. Are you trying to claim that those women are less feminine that you? Casue that's also pretty sad. You should also recognize that the primary purpose of birth control, of any type is to reduce unwanted births. God, the way you go on about it it's like you want to bring back woman's suffrage. |

Totally. A woman can take the depo provera shot and after a few weeks to a few months, they do not menstruate as long as they are on the shot. Where are the people screaming bloody murder at that? |

This sounds a little to un real. I mean what is the real purpose of this? When your young having your period really sucks, but you get use to it. Im curiouse to know if this would have any effect if you choose to get pregnent after along time with this anti feme pill?
As for pms... apparently men also go through a monthly hormonal cycle as well. Although they dont bleed, I wouldnt be surprised if they go through some mental crazyness as well once a month. Really women should just learn how to deal with pms instead of using it as an excuse to be crazy and un realistic. Finaly if your going to take away the bleeding, pms, and hormonal effects... wouldnt that mean NO SEX DRIVE ??? Last edited by Ree Fresh; Dec 11, 05 at 05:21 PM. |
