Budding minds and emo teens find an outlet and sub culture where it's cool to be different, where 'life' is "all about the music", and one little pill can make you sociable enough to be everyones friends.

Ever increasingly whorey MTV backs up the belief that girls who put out and dress like whores get to g-ride it up that ultra sexy guy. Ten to one odds say those girls made plenty of older girl and guy friends, maybe even got lucky for the first time, cuz when you're in highschool those older 'more mature' guys are sexy and daring aren't they?

Are promotors going to turn that person away at the door? Ya, some might. I'll bet my right nut though, if anything happens, they'll say she came in dressed, what's it to them if she lost some of her clothes. She paid big money to come to the show, she can do what she wants, as long as she has fun. As long as she comes back for more. There's no moral accountability when it comes to raving.

Most 16-18 year olds can't figure out life isn't one big rave, how can you expect someone younger?
aggreance..thoes girls dont know what there doing is not to cool, to them there the shit..money and sex both sell

it was two weeks past my 15th birthday when i went to my first party. but i went with older people and was surrounded by older people. today young kids at parties are sourounded by more young dumb kids. its a complelty differant vibe all together now, its something you cant explain but its definalty not as productive. because even though drugs were just as much if not more involved then, it had a more productive outcome then now. drugs were more of an awakening then just getting fucked up. i dont think most people are going to understand this though.

relax, don't worry because you can't fight it, there is nothing you can do. they out number you, and studies show that these numbers are only increasing year after.

Did you just call me Maxie?? haha, bring back the baby blue and red outfits...I remember spending hours looking for that right shirt and hat, not to mention buying a brand new pair of white gloves for every party.

Ya, I get that. Times have changed a lot since you were 15-16 too Myra. The growing pervasive image in pop television over the decade (last 4 years especially) is that flashy guys get skanky under dressed whores. And that it's cool for young girls to be some guys skank. As kids get bombed with more ads and skin friendly television, parents, schools, and role models fail to demonstrate the difference between raves and real life.
The rave scene started off underground but has since grown to represent something it never intended to represent.

Because you're not a whore doesn't mean a lot of other people aren't. You're pretty smart cookie, that's different.

i agree with the fact that the media is a huge influence, movies don't really help much either. for instance bad boys 2? or even girls gone wild? anyone who's been up past 1 flickin channels has seen it, the little girls see how much attention those girls get on tv. etc, etc. people generally speakin like positive attention and thats what they think their getting.

personally tho i don't really care what anyone wears to a party, i kinda think its their choice to dress like a whore/hooker if they want to. its their image i don't care if they trash it.

for the people who partied back in the day, did any of your friends dress scandalous?

fuck i hate society. blame the media? fuck that shit. we might be a bit older, but my little sisters (21+13) don't act like that. if they dressed like that my moms would slap them. hell, i'd fuckin slap them.

it's on the parents. you can be involved in your kids' life without smothering or alienating them.

If anyone has a Freeze ticket stub left over, it would be appreciated if you could quote what it said on the back of the stub, or even better a photo of the back would be appreciated.

Thanks

Pick and choose your parties. Freeze looked lame anyway, but Kick-it looked like it went off and everyone had a good time.
