Does anyone know of a bank or institution...?
Does anyone know of a bank (or some other way) that'll lend a student $2000-5000 for other then school purposes?
Situation: I pretty much have a once in a life time opportunity to get an insane deal on grade A tools and toolbox that'll I'll use in my trade for the rest of my life. The opportunity ends Feb 14. I have a good chunk of change saved already but I'll need another $2000 or so. My credit is awesome, but only recently acquired (august) and my credit limit is only $1000. I'd be able to pay back the loan in 3 months tops. RBC won't give me the loan because of my part time employment and full time student status, even though I make more part time then I will mechanic'ing full time until my second year. And of course, by that time it'll be too late. Does anyone have any ideas? |

The only easy way to gain credit with the 'big 5 banks in Canada' (which is all there is really) when youre young is to get a co-signor! Do you have any friends that would co-sign for you? It really is the only option - thats the way oligopolies work; set the rules and then say tough to those that don't qualify because they can. |

if you need it NOW... call wells fargo... you can get a loan in like 3 days from them[since with banks it takes 3+ weeks].. then just get a loan from a bank pay off your loan with wells fargo and your good.... cause interest rates with wells fargo suck[31%].
But since your working part time you need a co-signer. why didnt you just call me and ask!? [or ask me yesterday when we spoke?] Seriously just call me... I'll let you speak with my mom... she's dealt with credit all her life..... I asked her for this post, but she needs more info. she acutually has a few options for ya!!!! |
