very sad day for Hockey Canada.
this stings more then any other defeat in any sport Ive watched. When it comes to Hockey . . i dont know about most ppl - but I find it mandatory that Canada has to WIN all the time. ITs our sport.. and we have to show the world we will always be best at it. ITs like Brazil w/ Soccer. or the USA w/ Basketball. I still remember Nagano 98 - Canada vs Czech Republic / Roy vs Hasek / - - i was 15 or 16 - in my room. .. watchin the shootout alone in the dark at 4am on fuzzy CBC w/ no cable. I was almost in tears after Hasek stopped Shanahan on the 5th shot to seal the victory. PPL gotta realize that these countries that beat and knock out Canada see the win differently then we do. Beating Canada is the ultimate feat to accomplish in Olympic Hockey. Russia is goin crazy right now .. That was pretty much their gold medel. 2010 will be different. I`ll be there to see it |

I heard this on the radio last night. I don't know how much truth to it there is, but.
Not only did Team Canada men's hockey not win a medal, but they also lost the "post tournament strip-a-thon" at the Olympic Village because the venue was "too cold". This is apperently what Pat Quinn said. |
