No its true what Allison said.
The Canadians from the first game of the tournament sucked. 2-0 to finland, 2-0 to switzerland. They never got it together where as russia only lost the first game when they let a non nhl goalie play in net. They cruised through the tournament the rest of the way. Its not EASY to WIN GOLD in MENS HOCKEY!! Its not the same as womens hockey which is barely competitive. Its disappointing yes. An upset yes, a big upset NO!!! Russia has a great tem from ovenchkin all the way down to Nabokov.

It's too bad they lost, but they didn't seem to want it this year and the gold medal should go to the one who wants it th emost, hence why we won Juniors and not the Russians, although I don't agree with what you said about women's hockey being non-competitive... don't discredit their win, just because it's a different style of play, those girls did awesome out thre and played with heart, which you can't say about the Canadian men.

I thought they might pull it together cause when things look the worst like in 2002 they came around but they never did.
The round robin is suppose to be for your team to get better together and get ready for the quarters b ut they never got together. I was cheering for them in the game but I'm not gonna say canada you suck yada yada. They just got beat by a better team simple as that

One player is affected the whole team feels it. The scandal also more than anything exhausted Gretzky. Did you see how he looked in his interviews. He looked like he hadn't slept in like a week. Next Team Canada: Eric Staal, Sidney Crosby, Dion Phaneuf will for sure be on the team. They will be 4 years older and hopefully 4 years better than they already are.

The only team that had a slim chance of even keeping up with Canada was the states. Every olympics so far its been Canada, and the states and than the rest, and most know the rest are nothign rite now and won't be for at least 5 to 10 years Yes they did play with heart and they did play as a team BUT none of the games were even close because none of the other teams are even close to Canada's development in womens hockey. Except the states.
